In Kingdom Hearts 3, Sora gets his hands on a wide variety of keyblades that he can use in battle against the Heartless, Nobodies, and other foes. Nearly every world Sora visits results in a new keyblade, and each keyblade can be upgraded in the Keyblade Forge, located in the Workshop of the Moogle Shops, found next to save points throughout the various game worlds.
Keyblades require a variety of ingredients to upgrade in Kingdom Hearts 3, but there are two key ingredients that players will need more than anything else. For the early keyblade upgrades, Kingdom Hearts 3 players will need Fluorite. Fluorite is primarily farmed in the Gummi Ship sections, so players just need to fly around space, destroying objects and collecting treasure spheres. Alternatively, Fluorite can be purchased from the Moogle Shop, and it can also be found in some of the treasure chests.
Damascus is what's used to upgrade keyblades in Kingdom Hearts 3 for the later stages of the keyblade upgrade process. As it turns out, Damascus is obtained in pretty much the same manner as Fluorite, especially in the Misty Stream galaxy. And just like Fluorite, players can actually purchase Damascus from the Moogle Shop, though that option won't become available until after they've completed the Frozen level Arendelle.
As previously stated, there are other materials that players need to upgrade keyblades in Kingdom Hearts 3, which vary from one keyblade to the next. These materials are typically in far greater supply than Fluorite and Damascus, and players will likely collect most of them just by playing the game. However, to get all of the keyblades upgraded, players will definitely have to spend some time farming for Fluorite and Damascus in the Gummi Ship.
While some may find this tedious, having fully upgraded keyblades is well worth the effort in Kingdom Hearts 3. Sure, players can level grind whenever they come across a particularly tough boss, but having a stronger keyblade will also go a long way in making the more difficult sections of Kingdom Hearts 3 easier.
Moving forward, it will be interesting to see if other ways to farm Fluorite and Damascus are uncovered by the Kingdom Hearts 3 community.
