The Kingdom Hearts series is no stranger to featuring complex combat systems with a wide variety of entertaining mechanics. Kingdom Hearts 3 is no exception, as it has flashy and addictive gameplay, mostly thanks to elements like Shotlocks, Keyblade Transformations, Summons, and more. However, one of this game’s most endearing mechanics is Attraction Flow.

Kingdom Hearts 3 changes the Keyblade system for the series in so many ways, but with so many, it's clear which ones stand out.

With this power, Sora, Donald, and Goofy can summon different famous attractions that originate from Disney theme parks, and use them in order to attack large groups of enemies. It’s a fun and colorful combat mechanic, but each attraction works in its own unique way, which means some are more useful than others. So this is how all the Attraction Flow attacks in Kingdom Hearts 3 stack up against each other.

6 Mountain Coaster

Based On Big Thunder Mountain

Sora, Donald and Goofy using the Mountain Coaster Attraction Flow in the Keyblade Graveyard.
  • Duration: 90 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Neutral
  • Commands: Move Marker, Chimney Flare & Finish

On paper, Mountain Coaster has the potential to be the most thrilling Attraction Flow in the entire game. Sora can summon this gigantic rollercoaster that can shoot projectiles from its chimney and, after a while, the player can ram the vehicle against an enemy for massive damage.

But sadly, Mountain Coaster left a lot to be desired for two main reasons: First, it goes on for way too long, so it ends up feeling extremely repetitive. And second, it can only be used twice in the entire game: Against the Rock Titan and against the horde of 10,000 enemies in the Keyblade Graveyard. Its situational nature makes Mountain Coaster the most underwhelming attraction in the entire game.

5 Mad Tea Cups

Based On Mad Tea Party

Sora using the Mad Tea Cups Attraction Flow in Toy Box.
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Neutral
  • Commands: Cup Slide, Change Course & Finish

Mad Tea Cups is a very simplistic Attraction, but this simplicity works in its favor, seeing as it’s one of the very first Attraction Flow summons that is introduced to the player. With it, Sora, Donald, and Goofy can ride on 3 large teacups and ram into enemies with them, before finishing them off with a fantastical combined attack.

In comparison to other attractions, Mad Tea Cups is quite dull, but it can be a fun distraction. Not to mention that it’s used in a cute & unique way in the Strawberry Flan mini-game. On the other hand, the real-life Disneyland attraction that it's inspired by, Mad Tea Party, is based on Alice in Wonderland. So, having a reference to one of the very first Disney Worlds that Sora visited back in Kingdom Hearts 1 is a really cute detail for veteran players.

Based On Many Carousels In Disney Theme Parks

Sora, Donald and Goofy using the Magic Carousel Attraction Flow in Kingdom of Corona.
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Neutral
  • Commands: Sound Wave & Finish

Carousels are some of the most common theme park rides for children throughout the world, so the Magic Carousel already has a huge air of familiarity for most players. This Attraction Flow has Sora, Donald, and Goofy riding an enchanted carousel that attacks enemies with powerful sound waves.

Kingdom Hearts 3: The Best Order For The Limit Cut Data Battles

Kingdom Hearts 3 has introduced players to Limit Cut Data Battles. They can be quite challenging, so Sora should fight the easy ones first.

The efficiency and strength of these sound waves depend on the player’s timing of the attack button, which is simple but effective. While Magic Carousel may not offer as much mobility as other Attractions in Kingdom Hearts 3, it more than makes up for it with both the immense power its sound wave attacks can achieve, and its fascinating atmosphere and presentation.

3 Pirate Ship

Based On Sailing Ship Columbia

Sora using the Pirate Ship Attraction Flow in the Caribbean.
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Neutral & Water
  • Commands: Swing, Change Direction & Finish

Just like Magic Carousel, Pirate Ship is also one of the most static Attraction Flows in the game, but this one gives the player a lot more control and mobility. This time around, Sora, Donald, and Goofy can summon a gigantic pirate ship and attack enemies either by swinging the vessel or by splashing them with water magic.

Because of the Pirate Ship’s impressive size, and the player’s ability to change its direction, this attraction can cover a lot of ground and deal massive damage, even against large enemies like Rock Trolls or Metal Trolls. And to make things even better, its finisher looks beautiful and can annihilate even more enemies with ease. This is a really magical attraction that feels very satisfying to use, especially in the Caribbean, the world based on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

2 Blaster Blaze

Based On Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

Sora, Donald and Goofy using the Blaster Blazer Attraction Flow in Olympus.
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Neutral
  • Commands: Blaster, Move, Change Direction, Thruster Boost & Finish

Blaster Blaze is undoubtedly the most unique power that Attraction Flow has to offer in the entire game since it’s mostly based on an interactive in-doors dark ride. In this Attraction Flow, Sora, Donald, and Goofy can hop on three vehicles and shoot at enemies in first person. The player can also use the Thruster Boost in order to move around and ram into even more enemies in the process.

Kingdom Hearts 3: Every System Exclusive Keyblade, Explained

Kingdom Hearts 3 released a number of exclusive keyblades that players can access depending on what system they're using.

The truth is that Blaster Blaze completely alters the gameplay of the game, which may be frustrating for some players, but it really adds some brief variety to the combat, and it's overall a very fun distraction. In a way, this Attraction Flow feels like a more simplistic version of the Gigas that Sora can use in Toy Box. This is extremely fitting, considering that Blaster Blaze is based on a real-life Toy Story attraction.

1 Splash Run

Based On Grizzly River Run, Kali River Rapids and Roaring Rapids

Sora, Donald and Goofy using the Splash Run Attraction Flow in Kingdom of Corona.
  • Duration: 15 seconds
  • Magic Attribute: Water
  • Commands: Change Course, Jump & Finish

When the player activates the Splash Run attraction, Sora, Donald, and Goofy get on a circular boat that leaves behind a trail of water. When its finisher is activated, the boat travels backward over the water and concludes with a huge splash of Water magic. Splash Run truly has everything that a Kingdom Hearts 3 player is looking for in Attraction Flow: It’s flashy, it’s colorful, it covers a lot of ground, it deals a lot of damage (especially with its Finisher) and it gives them a lot of customization and mobility to play around with.

As mundane as it may seem, drawing a path of Water Magic in the middle of the battle is truly one of the most entertaining combat mechanics in the entire game. Not to mention that Splash Run is based on the many river rapids rides that can be found in Disney parks, which are always some of the most fun and thrilling attractions that can be experienced in these locations. If Attraction Flow is brought back in future Kingdom Hearts titles, Splash Run should definitely be one of the attractions that can be summoned with it.
