Occasionally, games releases can get leaked or prematurely listed on digital shops, such as the Nintendo eShop. Those listings can sometimes point to anupcoming announcement or release for a game, but there are times when game listings might just be a mistake. It seems the latter situation is the case with a recentKingdom Come: Deliverancelisting on Nintendo’s release schedule.

Warhorse Studios’Kingdom Come: Deliverance released in 2018, but it has retained a dedicated fan base. The indie title has sold over three million copies, and players have enjoyed multiple DLC packs for the game. The RPG stars Henry, the son of a blacksmith, in the historically-accurate Kingdom of Bohemia in 15th century Europe.

Earlier today, a listing forKingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Editionwas spotted on Nintendo’s Japanese release schedule next toSilver 2425. Both were shown as releasing on February 18, 2021.Silver 2425 isalready confirmed to have a Switch release, but no such announcement was made aboutKingdom Come: Deliverance.

It looks like the release was listed mistakenly. PopularKingdom Come: DeliveranceYouTuber Sexy Biscuit reached out to the developers to see if the listing was accurate, and they responded saying, “Unfortunately it is not real. The only news is, there is going to be released [sic] KDC RE on PS4 thanks to DMM games. That’s all.”

It is not unheard of for game companies to deny leaks and shut down speculations, even if they are true. However, for now it seems Warhorse Studios does not plan to release the game on Switch. It is quite possible that Warhorse Studios is looking to make a Switch version, but with DMM Games helping with the Japanese port, the focus might just be on the PS4. On the bright side, the original game was alsorecently added to the PS Now collection.

While Japanese PS4 players will be able todon some armor and experience Henry’s story in Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition, any fans who want to play the game on the Switch will just have to wait for now.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance  is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
