There are many romanceable characters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, including those seeking quick flings and partners in long-drawn-out love stories alike. The possible romance with Margaret falls somewhere between the two, but more because it takes a fair bit of effort on the player's part. In fact, Margaret is an entirely missable character, so she is likely one of the least romanced in the entire game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - How To Romance Characters
This romance guide for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will explain how romance works, and provide tips for Henry's love pursuits.
Meet Margaret During The Damsel In Distress Task
To be able to romance Margaret and engage with the Victimised quest, players must first find her as part of the Damsel In Distress Task. To trigger this, head to the mill between Bylany and Old Lhota.
This task might not trigger at night or when Henry is visiting the mill as part of the Fifth Commandment quest, so you might have to come back later.
Listen out for a woman shouting from inside a shed. Open this via lockpicking and talk to the woman. She will tell Henry to look for the Miller, and to be able to eventually romance Margaret, players should accept and search the woodshed.
Upon returning to the barn, the woman will be gone, and Henry will be confronted by the miller and a guard. For the sake of getting to the Victimised quest and Margaret, Henry's answers here don't matter, but it's best to avoid trouble.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - How To Get The Secret Sigismund Ending
Most players won't know about a secret early ending for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, involving King Sigismund.
Starting The Victimised Quest & Preparation
After completing Damsel in Distress, players should head to the inn south of Pschitoky on the road to Kuttenberg. Here, they should find the maid from the mill begging outside, and she will reveal herself to be called Margaret.
She tells Henry a story of loss and puts forward a plan to him to get revenge on a Kuttenberg merchant and steal his money. Accepting starts the Victimised quest for KCD2.
For the preparation of this plan, Henry needs to do three things:
- Find a sleeping potion (Lullaby Potion).
- Bring Margaret a fancy dress.
- Henry needs to look like a rich merchant.
Get The Lullaby Potion For The Victimised Quest
The Lullaby Potion is crucial for Margaret's plan, and there are a few ways to get this potion.
- Gather Poppy, Thistle, and Herb Paris, then f ollow this guide to make the Lullaby Potion via alchemy. This can be done without owning the recipe.
- For a more immersive approach, purchase the recipe from the Herbwoman Vlasta in Miskowitz.
- The Lullaby Potion itself can be bought from the Herbwoman Vlasta in Miskowitz and from the Apothecary in Pschitoky.
Get A Dress For Margaret & Dress Henry Well
Margaret needs a fancy dress to impress and look the part, and players should be aware that she won't be happy with any old clothing, even if it's new.
While Henry could sneak into a rich merchant's house and steal his wife's clothes from a chest at night, it's much easier to purchase a dress from a tailor.
- A Noblewoman's Cotehardie is good enough, for example, but dresses for burghers won't be approved.
The best tailors and clothes are found in Kuttenberg.
If players don't already have a fancy outfit for Henry, a visit to the tailor is a great time to do so, as that is another requirement for the quest. Consider washing his clothes and using perfume too. Any boost to Charisma will help.

There are 50 Achievements/Trophies For Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here's how to unlock them all.
Completing The Victimised Quest & Romancing Margaret
After returning to Margaret at the Pschitoky inn with all the required items, she will tell Henry to meet her in Kuttenberg in the evening. From there, it is very easy to pour the Lullaby Potion into Latsek's drink as he momentarily leaves.
After carrying Latsek to Margaret and sleeping, Henry and Margaret will walk to Latsek's shop and house. Henry is told to keep quiet and simply back up Margaret. To romance her, players must do exactly that, always choosing silence. However, if they want to find out the truth instead, consider speaking up and questioning Latsek.
Should You Romance Margaret?
Upon successfully swindling Latsek of his money, Henry and Margaret will return to the hayloft, and eventually Margaret will make a move. However, players might like to be warned that there is a huge downside to romancing Margaret.
- If they accept her kiss (and more), she will rob Henry in the morning of around 20% of his current Groschen.
- If players decline and ask to get paid, they will get a good amount of Groschen.
