The Reliquary Task Walkthrough In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Finding The Sword In The Chapel In The Reliquary

After accepting the quest from the Humble Knight northeast of Old Kutna, mount your horse and make your way to the graveyard area in Sedletz Monastery. At the Monastery, you will have the optional objective of talking to Brother Morticus, which starts the Thou Art But Dust side quest. This involves collecting and cleaning the bones in the chapel and making pyramids using them.

Head inside the chapel when you can approach the trapdoor to interact with it. This initiates a cutscene where you fall through the trapdoor into the crypt below. After the cutscene ends, head through the doorway east, and you will come upon a room with a sarcophagus at the end. Interact with it to open it and check the body for any loot. Unfortunately, there won't be any swords here. You need to examine the lid of the sarcophagus to complete the objective.

Forging A Replica Of Sir Valentine’s Sword In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Your next step is to forge Sir Valentine's Sword, so make your way to the city of Kuttenburg. The materials you need to make the sword are:

  • Copper x1
  • Straight Sword Guard x1
  • Cow Skin x1
  • Coin Sword Pommel x1
  • Frankfurt Steel x1
  • Scrap Metal x1

All the materials except the Straight Sword Guard are available at any Armourer, while the Guard can only be purchased from a Swordsmith.

Once you have all the materials, visit any Blacksmith and start forging the sword. Since it's a long sword, you will need to hammer in a straight line on both sides.

Returning The Sword And Dealing With The Soldier In The Reliquary Task

With the sword in your possession, return to the Humble Knight, who will reveal that he actually sells these items and now has to kill you to keep his secret. A speech check can let you avoid the fight and earn St. Appolonia’s Tooth, but it’s better to fight him since he carries valuable items and high-quality armor, items which sell for a good amount of Groschen.

Once the fight begins, the quest is considered complete, so you can choose to escape on horseback if you don’t want to battle. After dealing with him, open the storage box nearby to collect more Groschens and another piece of jewelry.
