Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is now set to roll out on February 4, 2025, an entire week before its original release date of February 11. Developed by Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the long-awaited sequel to 2018's Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Noted for its commitment to realism, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance took players to the 15th-century Kingdom of Bohemia and narrated the story of Henry, the game's wronged hero on a quest for revenge. Its forthcoming sequel, published by Deep Silver, will let players experience the final chapter in Henry's story. Similar to its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be a first-person action-RPG and will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Despite initially targeting a 2024 release window, the Warhorse Studios game was unfortunately delayed into 2025 back in August. However, the latest development regarding the sequel's release marks a positive turn of events.
How Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Could Make Things Difficult for a Threequel
Huge excitement already exists around Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, although the tile seemingly leaves little room for a third entry to the franchise.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 devs took to Twitter to announce that the medieval game, originally planned to release on February 11, 2025, will now come out seven days earlier. Besides the new February 4 launch date, they also stated that "a bunch of more exciting news" was set to arrive in the coming days. The Czech studio shared that the game's PC and console specifications were scheduled to land on December 5, the same day its new story trailer comes out. In the video accompanying the Twitter post, Warhorse Studios Global PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has gone gold, with devs currently in the "last stretches of optimizations (and) of bug-fixing." Hyping the players up for the forthcoming trailer, the PR head described it as "the best" trailer ever produced by the team.

On the other hand, PS5 Pro owners should be able to experience Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's historical fantasy in the best possible way, thanks to the game being PS5 Pro-enhanced.
With just a few months left for release, Warhorse Studios would now be focused on ironing out any creases and ensuring the game is in good shape at launch. After successfully releasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance's Switch port in March 2024, the Czechia-based developer would look to carry that momentum into next year, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's highly anticipated launch.
