How To Start Under the Straw Hat Task In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To start this task, players must progress through the In Vino Veritas quest. After talking to Casper in Kuttenberg, you'll learn about his wine business and his request to uncover the secret behind the wine made by the Sedletz Monastery. Your first objective is to make an impression on Havel, the Innkeeper.
First, go to the garden where Casper mentions Adleta can be found. Outside, her brother guards the gate. You can bypass him through the guard tower’s side entrance, but passing the speech check isn’t difficult. Win his favor, and he’ll let you in. Talk to Adleta and explain Casper’s situation. She will give you a book that you can immediately read to gain more knowledge about wine.
The next step is to change your clothing to increase your Charisma to 18; otherwise, Havel won’t talk to you about wine. There are multiple Tailors in Kuttenberg, so visit any shop and purchase clothing that boosts Charisma. Once ready, go to Havel and start the conversation. There are four key dialogue options you must choose to get information from him:
- Germany.
- Yes, I would love to (accept to drink with him).
- Steinberger.
- It's missing ginger.
After this, you will learn that the monks use some kind of incense. Return to Casper and share this information. He will suggest heading to the Vineyard and infiltrating it. The easiest way to enter is by speaking to the recruiter.
Under the Straw Hat Task Walkthrough In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To reach the Vineyard, head north through Kuttenberg’s northern exit and look for a large area to the east where the recruiter is marked on the map. Speak to him and accept his offer to work at the Vineyard to start the task, Under the Straw Hat. He’ll direct you to Administrator Jerome, who will explain your duties. The tasks are simple—gather flowers growing between the vineyard rows and collect sacks that periodically appear near multiple wooden stake frames. Carry the sacks to the designated area outside your sleeping quarters.
Even though the tasks seem simple, you’ll have to keep working throughout the day. Your pay depends on how much work you do, but the difference isn’t significant, so your main goal should be to complete enough tasks to avoid failing the objective. At 18:00, your objective will change, and you can claim your rewards. If you’ve done enough work, Jerome will pay you and ask you to retrieve wine from the cellar, allowing you to progress further in the In Vino Veritas quest.
