Into the Underworld directly follows up Speak of the Devil, where Henry must find the eponymous Dry Devil in the second half of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This quest will take players deeper into the Kuttenberg region to meet with the rest of Zizka's associates, includin John of Liechtenstein.

This quest will send players straight to the city of Kuttenberg itself in KCD2, and unlike the other missions that came before it, Into the Underworld can be quite confusing. Here's a guide covering everything you need to know to wrap this quest up.

Starting Into the Underworld in KCD2

You'll automatically start this quest once you rescue the Dry Devil during Speak of the Devil. Once you return to the Devil's Den, Zizka will tell you to check on Katherine, who should be working in a tavern down in Kuttenberg city. Ride to the pinned quest marker and speak with her. She'll fill you in on the details.

According to Katherine, a man named Goatskin might know where Liechtenstein is, but finding him won't be easy.

This part of the quest is where things get tricky. Before you proceed, you'll want to beef up your stats for speech attempts in KCD2. You'll be doing a lot of talking from hereon, and you'll want to be as convincing as possible if you want to avoid any trouble.

The Long Method

Katherine will tell you to go to a tavern called Hole in the Wall in the southeastern side of the city. Once you get there, the doorman will tell you to earn the respect of a man named Chenyek. Enter the tavern and speak with Chenyek sitting on one of the tables. From here, you can either Intimidate him, or pay him 200 Groschen. Otherwise, he'll tell you to fight Goliath in the back.

After winning the fight, Chenyek will tell you that Goatskin stopped coming to the tavern, and that some men beat him up. If you want to find him as soon as possible, speak to Madam Beata at the City Bathhouse. Ask her about Goatskin, and she'll tell you that he has a habit of robbing rich Germans. Beata will also tell you of a man named Udo, who you can speak with at the City Bathhouse in the evening.

From here, you need to set a trap for Goatskin. For this to work, you need to successfully persuade Udo to go home early. If you succeed, follow him, and you'll eventually meet Goatskin as he tries to rob the drunk German.

Troskowitz is the first town you end the prologue at in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2; here's everything there is to do there.

The Short Method

If you'd rather not deal Udo, you can go to this spot on the map right after you speak with Chenyek. Go to the backyard of the Tailor's shop, and look for the beat-up fence. Hop over it, enter the barn, then head upstairs. Cross the barn, and exit back into the open. Hop over the wagon and enter the doorway to find Goatskin. Make sure to bring some extra Groschen with you in case you fail to make Goatskin talk.

Meeting Samuel and How to Infiltrate the Antisemites' Meeting

Goatskin will tell you about a man named Samuel, who you'll find in the Jewish Quarter of Kuttenberg. Follow the quest marker to Samuel's location, then speak with him. Before he can help you, he'll ask you to infiltrate a group of antisemites. Do as he says, and a cutscene will eventually play once you arrive at the location past 21:00.

You'll be ambushed by two men. Fight them off, and once you beat them, another cutscene will play. Samuel will stop you from killing them, and he'll take you to where Liechtenstein is, ending the quest.
