Once Henry becomes a member of the Blacksmiths' Guild during Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Legacy of the Forge DLC, he will receive daily quests, such as blacksmithing and playing dice games. These help increase his Prestige within the guild. One set of daily quests, all with orange icons, is investigations, mostly given out by Master Klaus Eichner. Over different days, he and another master will allocate four different tasks, bearing the quest name 'In the Service of the Guild'.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Best Armor
This guide will provide players with the best options for each layer of armor in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
In most of these, Henry has to go to a different location, where he will find a camp of bandits. These outlaws have stolen from the guild, and Henry is tasked with reclaiming them. Players can either take out all the bandits, sneak in and out without anyone realizing they were there, or perhaps poison the camp's food and wine to put them all out of action. This guide for 'In the Service of the Guild' will show players where to find all the quest items, which is especially important for the second quest, where the search area is much larger. There is also a riddle to solve for 'In the Service of the Guild' in KCD2.
Chests will need to be opened with lockpicks, or players will find the key on at least one of the outlaws.
Return 2 Items West Of Kuttenberg
The first quest sees Henry take on a small camp of around 7 outlaws in the woods south of the main road west of Kuttenberg. Try to take out the guards walking the perimeter first, and as always for these missions, it's best to go at night. If players kill and loot these bandits, they can put any unwanted gear in the sales chest at his forge, saving them from selling manually.
Consider making use of the best stealth outfits in KCD2. Darker clothes that make no noise are best, and make sure Henry doesn't smell!
Chest In The South Part Of The Camp
In the southern part of the camp, there is a chest next to a makeshift bed. Players will find the quest items here.

After returning the items to Master Eichner, wait a few days to get the next investigation quest.
A new armorer's sketch will also be found here. Get the Armorer's Shelter as a forge upgrade and hire an armorer to make use of these.
Return 2 Items From Opatowitz
The second 'In the Service of the Guild' quest is the hardest, with Henry needing to infiltrate the village of Opatowitz, which is teeming with bandits. There's almost no way to take them all down, so it's best to sneak in at night.
Players should approach from the north, crossing the stream. Look for an arch in the stone wall near the location marked above.
In A Hut By A Campfire In The Northeast Part Of Opatowitz
As players pass through the stone arch, they will see a campfire. To the left or east, there is a wooden hut with a chest inside.

Return 4 Items From Near Maleshov
The third version of this quest tasks Henry with retrieving four items from near Maleshov, to the south of Kuttenberg.
There are around 8 Cumans to deal with. As usual, players can take them out one by one, poison their food, sneak past, or fight them.
Chest In The Round Tent
There's a round tent at the east end of the Cuman camp. In here, players will find a chest with the following four quest items, as well as other loot.
- Blacksmith's Apprentice Certificate
- Sketch - Lingua Belli Longsword
- Sketch - Basilard
- Sketch - Shell Hunting Sword
Don't read these sketches! Doing so will remove them, and you won't be able to complete the quest.
Recover The Alchemy Ingredients & Solve The Strange Riddle
The fourth investigation and 'In the Service of the Guild' quest is given out by Master Bushek instead. When Henry reaches the inn just to the west of Kuttenberg, ask one of the maids, and they will tell him that the alchemist is staying upstairs in the third door out of four.
The door is locked, but only the lock is easy. After kicking the door down and realizing the alchemist had fled, Henry needs to search the room. On the shelf, there is a Strange Riddle and a book called Planets and Their Metals.
Don't worry about the chest with a hard lock, there's less than 1 Groschen and some bandages.
Solve The Alchemist's Strange Riddle In Service Of The Guild
Were I Peter, I'd behold the holy towers, at least as many as the Master of the Art hath planets. Then I'd fall to the west, end my flight there, to the place of petitioners, where my Savior guards His treasure.
Using the accompanying book, Peter is the rock of the church, and the number of planets is seven. Just to the east of the inn, there is a huge rock. Players can stand on top of it and count seven church spires. Then, from the rock, look west, but slightly northwest, and a small shrine can be seen near the inn.

There is a weekly Kuttenberg tournament in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but how does it work?
Behind this spire, players will find the quest items as well as other loot. Simply return these to Master Bushek.
