Everything Confirmed for the Hardcore Mode, So Far

Minimal UI tends to be a staple feature in Hardcore modes, but it will be even more difficult in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. There won't be any player marker featured on the game's map, and the compass won't include any of the cardinal directions, making exploration a truly grueling experience.
Taking out fast travel is also a huge hurdle players will have to learn how to deal with. It can take a while to get to certain in-game locations, and the lack of fast travel combined with no player marker and cardinal map requires fans to be on their A-game with their sense of direction. The realism of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is what makes it so unique, and some of the most daring players will get an extra dose of realism with the Hardcore mode.
One of the biggest challenges in this mode, though, is that players will have to choose from three out of ten negative perks that can drastically affect the story. This is simply the cherry on top of an already challenging RPG, and it will likely only make Henry feel even more lifelike as a character.

Whether it's the Sweaty perk that causes Henry to get dirty faster or Punchable Face, which makes the likelihood of NPCs wanting to fight him more likely, all the options offered only make the experience more stressful. It's a fascinating approach to this type of mode that further illustrates just how far Warhorse Studios wants to push the limits of what a realistic RPG can be.
