Killing Floor 3 Has a Glaring Flaw, But It Will Only Become Harder to Spot With Time

Killing Floor 3 has one significant issue with content, but its predecessor is proof that the problem won't be a long-lasting one.

Among the list of weapons in Killing Floor 3, there are certainly some that are stronger than others, in ways that go beyond just being a lower tier. Some bring insane burst potential, whilst others transform classes into unstoppable powerhouses that are hard to even land a hit on. Therefore, in general, it is a good idea to stick to the best weapons in Killing Floor 3 and leave the others behind.

The Medic's weapons are pretty interesting, as regardless of whether it's an SMG or a giant laser gun, the player still has access to the healing ability that makes the class so great. As a budget option, the K&W MP6 is a great weapon to pick up, both for Medics and other classes, as it maintains a high damage output while not limiting the player's ability to play a supportive role.

It's a versatile weapon that allows for fast movement between guns and packs a serious punch for its low cost. It functions great both as a mid-game weapon, especially with a few mods attached, and as a solid final pick-up, giving a healthy dose of healing to the team without ever breaking the bank.

The Sharpshooter's weapon set, as the name suggests, focuses on sniping and high-damage single-target shots that shred through bosses like butter. At the end of that tree is the Samaritan, a railgun that comes with insane burst potential when combined with some specific skills, turning any player into a long-ranged force of destruction.

Killing Floor 3 Weapon Mods and Customization Explained

The Best War Games sits down with Killing Floor 3 lead combat designer Bill Munk to discuss weapon modifications and customization in the upcoming sequel.

What makes the weapon great is that it perfectly aligns with the sniper fantasy, providing players with the ideal tool to eliminate high-priority targets quickly and assist the team in clearing any remaining Zeds that may have escaped the initial line of fire. No weapon can compete with the Samaritan's stopping power, and other classes will have to consider taking it purely due to the insane power it brings to the fight.

6 Ifrit

Two Modes For Double The Power

Ifrit is one of the Engineer's best weapon choices, with a dual-fire mode that allows the player to use both explosive bursts and high-powered lasers to demolish anything in their path. The ability to switch between modes is great, as there are many times throughout a run where players will want to take out a large group, then quickly switch targets to a larger enemy, and this weapon does that perfectly.

Another thing that makes Ifrit great is its range and ammo count. While players will need to reload quite often, the total ammo is more than enough to make it through even the toughest waves of Zeds, lending consistent power during the gunfights whilst not compromising on the ammo count.

5 X295 Wraith

A Decent Option To Carry You Through The Early Game

The Commando is easily one of the strongest classes in KF3, and his starter weapon is a big reason for that. The Wraith is a cheap but mighty monster that delivers insane killing potential right from the start of the game, and is a pretty great pick-up for other classes in need of a secondary weapon.

With just a few mods attached, players can handily make it through an entire stage without ever needing to swap to another gun, primarily due to the Wraith's high damage and ammo supply. Few other weapons can really compete with its power, and it is always a shame to trade it out, as while it may not be the most impressive, it is still a damn good gun.

4 G33

Something A Bit More Explosive

The G33 looks as strong as it is, a six-barrel launcher that delivers explosive blast after explosive blast to tear through smaller Zeds and still deal significant chunks of damage to the larger ones as well.

The Engineer already has some pretty great weapons, so adding in a grenade launcher to the mix can increase their power even further, and it works well early on and during the final wave. It also looks and feels super cool to use, providing players with a portable explosive device that does more than enough damage at every stage of the game.

3 Disciple

The Perfect Sniper Sidearm

Killing floor 3 (7)

Type

Handgun

Primary: 160

Secondary: 250

Damage Type

Ballistic, Cold

Cost

900 DOSH

The Disciple is the Sharpshooter's sidearm, and for a class interested in sniping and dealing high damage, having a pistol that does almost as much damage as the primary feels borderline broken. Of course, players will be mainly using their main weapon for Zed-killing, but the ability to swap to an equally strong secondary weapon feels as great as it is effective.

The main strength of the Disciple comes from its standalone power. Without a single attachment or mod, this little powerhouse can still dish out absurd numbers and easily cleave through any Zeds that get too close. For such a low cost, other classes can easily pick it up and benefit from its power without worrying about saving their dosh for an upgrade.

2 LF-85

Unmatched Healing Output

Killing floor 3 (4)

Type

Special Weapon

Damage

Primary: 125

Secondary: 100

Damage Type

Biological, Electrical

Cost

4,000 DOSH

The LF-85 is at the top of the Medic's tree for good reason. A powerful primary shot that saps the life of any Zeds it touches, and a secondary fire that can be used at the same time to provide sustain from a distance. It makes an already strong class into an overpowered healing machine.

Adding a few attachments makes the weapon even more ridiculous, lending it even more damage output and healing potential in the same single slot as before. For those looking to lean into the healing style fully, the LF-85 is the perfect choice, and for moments where they need a damage boost, it more than serves that purpose as well.

1 Knightsbridge

Insane DPS For Very Little Downside

Killing floor 3 (2)-1

Type

Special Weapon

Damage Type

Ballistic

Cost

4,300 DOSH

The Knightsbridge is hands down one of the strongest Killing Floor 3 weapons to date, boasting a large ammo count and an insane DPS that can barely be matched by anything else in the game. What makes it so great is the dual benefit of clearing out basic enemies and having enough damage to destroy bosses, without ever having to swap to a secondary weapon.

After giving it a few extra mods and combining it with some of the Commando's perks, suddenly the player becomes a moving turret that dishes out 1000s of bullets to completely erase anything from the screen in a matter of seconds. It's pure, glorious firepower, and often that's exactly what dispatching waves of Zeds calls for.
