Kevin Feige once worked for the iconic DC Comics. As many are aware, Feige is heavily responsible for the success of the iconic Marvel Studios films that have graced the theaters in recent years.

Marvel Studios is currently on what is widely known as Phase 4, which is saying a lot since the MCU movies have been around for over a decade and only keep getting better. Many people commonly associate Marvel with being kid-friendly while DC Comics is known for being dark and gritty, despite Marvel having some tragedies of its own.

Thanks to insider information from Matthew Belloni, fans have found out that history could've been very different during Marvel Studio's phase 2. "[David] Zaslav could make another run at Feige, who, I’m told, talked pretty seriously with Warners a few years ago when he was angling to escape the oversight of Marvel’s then-madman C.E.O. Ike Perlmutter," wrote Belloni. Recently, it was revealed that Marvel Studios was "answering" to a collective of individuals when writing their films. It wasn't until after Marvel Studios was revamped that all the success really started coming in.

For the longest time, DC has had the better projects in every other media format except the films. Marvel Studios is now trying to change that with the recent success of their television shows. If Feige were to have gone over to the other side, it's very possible that DC could've had a drastically different trajectory. There's a war going on between Marvel and DC in the form of friendly competition, and this may last for the rest of time, which is a good thing. Having both exist just feels right. It would change the whole dynamic if the DC heroes were brought over into the world of Marvel and vice versa.

DC has started finding its footing with recent films such as The Batman and looks to capitalize off of those projects in the near future. Hopefully, the upcoming films such as Black Adam, Blue Beetle, and Batgirl help change the trajectory of the live-action side of DC Comics. It's unclear what would've happened if Feige went over, but just knowing that history could've been different is very interesting for those who are hardcore comic fans.
