Not long after starting Keeper, players will visit a town that is home to the Horologe, a large, malfunctioning robot. This robot is marked with circles that depict a sun, a setting sun, and a moon, and players must insert amulets into those three circles if they hope to get through the area. This guide is here to walk players through that process, and it will help them leave the sun and moon robot town in Keeper.
It is first worth mentioning that focusing your light on the suns, setting suns, and moons that are found throughout this area in Keeper triggers something akin to time travel. More specifically, setting suns send you to the past, suns send you to the present, and moons send you to the future.
Sun & Moon Robot Town Puzzle Solutions in Keeper
To Sun Temple
Begin by focusing your light on the setting sun to the left of the robot to clear the left-most path (and transform the bird into an egg). At the end of this path, focus your light on the sun to create a bridge that leads to the sun temple. Focus your light on the front of the temple to clear the entrance.
Inside Sun Temple
Once inside, head forward to enter a room with a door that is blocked by vines. Point your light at the vines on the right to cause them to retract, and send the bird onto the gear that extends from the door when it is revealed. Continue to point the light at the vines on the right.
Now use the bird to move the gear to the left. When the bird reaches the door's midpoint, point your light at the vine on the left to make it retract, and then move the bird all the way to the left to open the door.
In the next room, send the bird to the gear that is extending from the door. Push the gear all the way to the right, and then switch the bird to the red crank at the top of the puzzle. Wind the crank counterclockwise until the extended gear is at the top. Switch to the extended gear, and push it all the way down. Switch back to the red crank, and wind it clockwise until the extended gear is on the right. Switch to the extended gear one more time, and push it right into the hole that opens the door.
In the temple's final room, the goal is to get the setting sun on the left side of the arch, the full sun in the middle, and the moon on the right, and here is how that is done:
- Send the bird to the moon, and move it to the right, stopping after passing the midpoint.
- Switch to the setting sun, and move it all the way to the left.
- Switch back to the moon, and move it to the midpoint.
- Switch to the full sun, and move it to the left, stopping after passing the midpoint.
- Move the moon all the way to the right.
- Move the full sun to the midpoint.
To Setting Sun Temple
Players can now continue forward to leave the sun temple, using the bird to grab the sun amulet from the exit door on their way out. Players can then return to the robot and follow the path that is behind it. Notably, if this path is blocked, players should focus their light on the sun that is in front of the broken path.
At the end of the path, look left and send the bird to the crank that extends from the tall building. Wind the crank clockwise to open two gates and descend the stairs that have been made accessible. Focus your light on the setting sun at the bottom, then climb back to the top of the stairs. Players will now find a bridge that leads to the setting sun temple, and they can focus their light on the front of that building to reveal its entrance.
In Setting Sun Temple
In the temple's first room, focus your light on the full sun that is embedded in the wall to transform the egg back into a bird. Now send the bird to the post to the left and focus your light on the setting sun embedded into the wall. This will cause the post to descend and the door to open.
Pass through the door and focus your light on the backside of the full sun embedded in the wall to reclaim the bird. In the next room, focus your light on the ovular section of the wall to the left of the setting sun to reveal a post that the bird can fly to. Once that post sinks, return the bird and send it to the post that has appeared in the adjacent wall. Now focus your light on the setting sun to sink this second post and open a new door.
After heading through the door, focus your light on the full sun embedded in the wall to once again reclaim your bird. Then make your way into the next room, and follow these steps to open its door:
- Send the bird to the gears in the wall.
- Focus your light on the setting sun on the right side of the room.
- Focus your light on the vines to the right of the door.
Players can now pass through the door, focus their light on the full sun in the wall to reclaim the bird, and make their way to the temple's exit. Here, players will find the setting sun emblem, and they should focus their light on the setting sun once they are outside.
To Moon Temple
Players should now make their way back to the robot and focus their light on the full sun that is behind it. Players should then go to the robot's right, send their bird to the crank extending from the building, and wind it to open a gate.
Pass through the gate and focus your light on the moon at the end of the path. Now send your spectral bird to the crank that is on the other side of the gate, focus your light on the full sun, and wind the crank to open the gate. The moon temple is just beyond that gate, and players should focus their light on its front to clear the entrance.
In Moon Temple
In the first room of the moon temple, focus your light on the moon in the wall, and send the spectral bird to the post. Now shine your light on the full sun in the wall to transform the bird and open the door.
In the next room, focus your light on the moon in the wall, and send the spectral bird to the post on the left. Focus on the full sun in the wall to sink the post and open the door, and then focus on the moon in the wall once again to make a path that can be used to pass through that door.
As you approach the final room, focus your light on the full sun in the wall to transform your bird. Then take these actions to get through the room:
- Send your bird to the crank in the middle.
- Wind the crank to move the small platform to the bottom of the room.
- Use the small platform to move to the central platform.
- Send the bird to the crank, and wind it so that the small platform is at the top of the room.
- Focus on the moon in the wall, and send the spectral bird to the post.
- Focus on the full sun in the wall to drop the post and open the door.
To Robot
Players can now head to the temple's exit and grab the moon amulet from the door. Once outside, players can return to the robot and insert all three amulets into it. After watching a short cutscene, players should follow the path that is behind the robot and to the right to progress Keeper's story.
