After months of remaining silent, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat's friend has finally responded to the sexual assault allegations made against him by TikTok star Jovi Pena. For those who are unaware, Pena alleged on social media that she was raped at a party hosted by Kai Cenat on January 1. She claimed that while she was drunk and wanted to leave the party, Kai Cenat advised her to go upstairs and sleep in a room where no one would bother her. However, she alleges that one of Kai Cenat's friends, Djigui Seck, sexually assaulted her.Kai Cenat responded on January 7 on Twitch, stating that he does not condone any form of sexual assault, explaining that the events occurred during a New Year's Eve party, and expressing his sympathies with Jovi Pena. Kai also confirmed that the alleged rapist is a close friend of his and that he didn't know Pena before this party. He recently came forward and posted a detailed Twitter thread. He explained that he chose to remain silent for various reasons, including advice from his attorney, wanting Jovi Pena to fully detail her account for that night, and not wanting to engage in a back-and-forth with her. He added that he thought clearing his name would be a quick process, but it wasn't. He also expressed his wish that they could have handled this through the police instead of social media.

Kai Cenat, who canceled his planned meet-up with London fans when this controversy surfaced, is yet to comment on the recent exchange between his friend and Jovi Pena.
