Renowned horror mangaka Junji Ito is collaborating with a famous Kpop group! It's not that uncommon for manga artists to collaborate with bands in Japan, but it's much less common for them to work with bands abroad.

ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is a Kpop boyband which debuted in 2023. It was formed through a reality show, Boys Planet, and it's managed by WakeOne. They have millions of followers on their social media accounts and have won several awards, including "Rookie of the Year" at Asia Artist Awards 2023.

Dead By Daylight: Who Is Tomie?

Dead by Daylight is bringing Tomie, arguably Junji Ito's most iconic character, into the game as a Legendary Skin.

ZB1 is releasing a new single, [Doctor! Doctor!], and Junji Ito drew the cover art for the digital edition:

When Is The Single Out?

The single is already out, and available on several online music streaming services. However, Doctor! Doctor! Is also a song on ZB1's upcoming mini-album, set for release on February 24, 2025.

Other Recent Junji Ito Collaborations

Junji Ito is probably the most famous horror mangaka alive today. Despite that, he had recently done unexpected collaborations, like this Tomie x Hello Kitty merchandise line. He also drew artwork for the Jpop group Phantom Siita.

He also partnered with Dead by Daylight, when a set of skins based on his works were added to the game, including Tomie, his most famous character. In this case, he apparently hasn't drawn anything special for this, only licensing his characters:

Aside from his horror manga, like Tomie, Souichi, Uzumaki, Remina and the anthology known as The Junji Ito Collection, Ito has also tried producing comedy manga. Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon & Mu is a parody of his life with two cats at home and, maybe unexpectedly, it's indeed quite fun to read.

Unfortunately, most anime adaptations based on his works, like Junji Ito Collection, Junji Ito Maniac and Uzumaki have not pleased fans of his stories, with mixed or bad reception from critics and the public.

Junji Ito Collection anime adaptation is streaming on Crunchyroll. Junji Ito Manic is on Netflix and Uzumaki is available to stream on MAX.
