The One Piece Manga Is Going On Break
Fans Won’t See a New One Piece Chapter On July 6
The One Piece manga has been going on consistently for twenty-eight years straight now. It’s not that uncommon for a series as long as One Piece to be hit by long hiatuses, as seen with manga like Hunter x Hunter or NANA.
Nevertheless, Oda has persisted, and he still delivers great content daily. Despite that, he does take breaks every once in a while, and these breaks have been getting more frequent, much to the disappointment of many fans around the world.
July 6 is going to be a very disappointing day for the One Piece series. On this day, there will not be a new One Piece chapter as Oda is taking a break. This break has surprised many fans, as Oda has recently taken a break just two weeks ago. Oda typically takes a break every three weeks, not tw, but this isn’t exactly out of the ordinary and does happen every once in a while.
So, fans can expect One Piece chapter 1153 to be the last One Piece chapter for this month, and One Piece chapter 1154 will instead drop the week after, on the 13th of July, 2025. Fans do hope this will be the only break in July.
Why Oda Has Been Taking More Breaks
The Reasons Are Multifaceted
One major question that many fans have been wondering is why Oda takes so many breaks, and the answer isn’t straightforward.
There are many reasons for Oda to take breaks. The most prevalent one perhaps concerns his health. Fans need to remember that Oda isn’t that young anymore. The work of a mangaka is brutal and offers few breaks. As Oda ages, he needs more rest, and more time to spend with his family.
Other things also take time away from Oda, such as One Piece projects that are not the manga.

The truth behind the birth of Loki, as well as his eyes, has been revealed in One Piece.
