One Piece Anime Is Going On Another Break

No New Episode Will Be Broadcast On July 20

July 20, 2025, which is a few days away, is going to be quite a sad day for fans of the One Piece anime. This is because the schedule for the next few episodes of the One Piece anime has been revealed, and on the 20th, there will be a break. In other words, there won’t be a new One Piece episode. The 20th was supposed to air episode 1137 of One Piece, titled “Sorry, Dad — Bonney’s Tears and Kuma’s Fist,” which would mark the return of the story to the present timeline from the Kuma flashback.

Instead, this episode will be pushed back to the week after, and drop on the 27th July. Since this episode will first after the conclusion of Kuma’s backstory, many fans are looking forward to seeing what’s to come in Egghead.

The Anime Has Been Taking Breaks More Regularly

Once Break Follows After Every Few Episodes

One thing many One Piece anime fans have noticed is the frequency of breaks the One Piece anime has been taking. Before the One Piece anime went on a 6-month break last year, episode hiatuses were very rare. But now, it seems to happen every month, which is odd.

Usually, when the anime goes on break, there is at least a filler episode in between to fill the gap. But this week, there seems to be nothing.

There is really no reason given for these breaks, so fans can only speculate that it is to maintain quality, which is odd in itself as One Piece's quality is no different from what it was before the 6-month hiatus.
