Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the best modern shonen series that Gege Akutami has developed flawlessly. While the series doesn't feature the deepest lore or the most intricate storyline, it delivers some absolutely stellar battles. In fact, in all the modern shonen series, including some legendary stories of the old, Jujutsu Kaisen deals with fights the best. Gege Akutami has a penchant for incredible fights, and the way he illustrates them is truly beautiful.
If there is one fight that epitomizes what JJK is all about, it is Gojo vs Sukuna, which was set up in the story from the very beginning. This fight ended up happening in the Shinjuku Showdown arc of the series, which was the end of the story as well. This fight spanned over multiple chapters and finally concluded with the death of the strongest modern sorcerer, Gojo Satoru. Now, it appears that Gege Akutami is set to write another massive battle in the story that would go on to rival even Gojo vs Sukuna. This fight will be fought by the strongest human, Yuji Itadori, against the King of the Simurians, Dabura Karaba, who are extremely important characters in the sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen called Modulo.
Yuji Itadori and Dabura Are Two Strongest Of The Next Era
Yuji And Dabura Possess The Highest Level Of Strength
The Clash of the Strongest is a trope that fans often love in all anime series, and Jujutsu Kaisen is no different. It goes without saying that the way Gege wrote his two strongest characters in the original story was absolutely flawless. Gojo Satoru epitomized what it meant to be a sorcerer in the modern era, while Ryomen Sukuna stood strong as a calamity of the old times that Gojo wanted to test himself against. A fight between these two completely shook the entire anime sphere, and its reverberations were felt even outside the JJK community. Gojo vs Sukuna is a massive battle that left its mark on the history of manga itself, and fans will always remember it as one of the best fights of all time.
Now, this clash of the strongest is being repeated in JJK Modulo, only with different characters. Once again, Gege Akutami has already established two mighty warriors that are going to go head-to-head against one another, and fans are very familiar with one of them. This clash is going to be between Yuji Itadori, the strongest human, and Dabura Karaba, the King of the Simurians.
Evidently, Yuji Itadori is quite powerful at this point in the story. 68 years have passed since the conclusion of the Shinjuku showdown, and now, Yuji Itadori is a calamity. He has become the strongest sorcerer in the current era, replacing Gojo Satoru after his death, and he possesses tremendous power up his sleeve. Yuji has access to Sukuna's Shrine cursed technique and, on top of that, Blood manipulation as well. He also seems to have a body that resembles a cursed spirit and doesn't age. In essence, Yuji has stayed in his prime for all these years, while all the other sorcerers have slowly whittled away.
On the other hand, fans have Dabura Karaba, an absolute prodigy belonging to the Deskunte tribe of the Simurian race, who have come from a very faraway planet to establish a friendly home next to the humans. Unfortunately, conflict has arisen between the two races, and now Dabura is ready to show off what he is all about. Dabura is the strongest of the Deskunte, and he wields two cursed techniques:
- His first cursed technique is Murderous Intent passed down the Deskunte tribe that cannot be truly understood by any human.
- His second and more important cursed technique is Light. Dabura can essentially create light beams and manipulate them however he wants. He can even apply this cursed technique to his own body and move at sub-light speeds.
On top of all that, Dabura also has a keen intellect, which allows him to grow rapidly in battle. Dabura has not peaked as a sorcerer just yet, but it goes without saying that he is slowly reaching incredibly high levels of power. If he goes on to realize his full potential, he will very well be the strongest in the entire story. Right now, Dabura is fighting against Mahoraga, but soon he could be coming face-to-face with Yuji Itadori himself.
Yuji Parallels Sukuna While Dabura Parallels Gojo
Yuji Is Becoming Like The King Of Curses
In many ways, Dabura and Yuji parallel Gojo and Sukuna. As fans know, Yuji Itadori is the strongest, just like Sukuna was. He also wields the same cursed technique as Ryomen Sukuna, and more than that, he actually has the same potential as him. After all, Yuji is the grandson of the reincarnation of Sukuna's very own brother. In a way, these two individuals are connected. Yuji might be different from Sukuna in terms of personality, but in terms of power, these two are the same.
Meanwhile, Dabura is quite similar to Gojo in terms of being a prodigy. In fact, even the nature of their cursed techniques is somewhat similar. Dabura's cursed technique is light, yet in the midst of battle, he managed to learn reverse cursed technique and then made sure that this positive energy flows through his original technique to create the cursed technique reversal, Darkness. This is incredibly similar to how Gojo developed the power of Red in the battle against Toji Fushiguro. In fact, there are only a handful of sorcerers with cursed technique reversal in JJK, and two of them are Dabura and Gojo.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see Dabura combine light and darkness together to create a hollow technique, just like Gojo Satoru. Both of them are geniuses in their own right, and even their cursed techniques have similar properties. This is precisely why a clash between these two monsters is going to be incredibly delightful for the fans to see.
Yuji Vs Dabura Will Be The Biggest Fight Of JJK Modulo
A Clash On The Level Of Gojo Vs Sukuna
At this point in the story, Dabura is fighting against Mahoraga and still growing in battle, but once the latter loses, Yuka's life will be in danger. Yuji Itadori will have to intervene against Dabura if he wants to protect Yuka. While he mentioned that he would rather not take part in the battle between these two fighters, the fact is that Yuji could be left with little choice if things haven't been solved. At this point, a clash between these two monsters is already on the horizon, and Gege Akutami could give it to the fans incredibly soon.
This clash, if it were to happen, will replicate Gojo vs Sukuna in terms of the quality that it delivers, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what Gege does with this battle moving forward. There could also be a way for Gege to give more exposition to the incredible power system of the series that relies heavily on cursed energy. Fans will be able to see how Yuji progressed over the last 68 years and at the same time witness the birth of another prodigy just like Gojo Satoru.
