In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo Satoru is considered one of the strongest and most powerful sorcerers. Gojo was Sealed During the Shibuya Incident

The Shibuya Incident is a large-scale attack on Shibuya orchestrated by Pseudo-Geto. Pseudo-Geto enlisted the help of Mahito and other allied special grade cursed spirits to execute the plan, including Choso, Jogo, Dagon, and Choso. On October 31st in Shibuya, non-sorcerers were employed to hinder Gojo's movements and keep him off balance. Mahito, Jogo, Hanami, and Choso worked together to create a distraction while Pseudo-Geto set up the Prison Realm. When the time was right, Prison Realm suddenly appeared behind Gojo. Pseudo-Geto revealed himself, momentarily distracting Gojo and allowing the Prison Realm to take hold. Pseudo-Geto protected the area long enough for Gojo to be sealed off completely, and eventually escaped Shibuya with Prison Realm in hand.

Gojo is Just Too Powerful

It has been said time and time again that Gojo is the strongest sorcerer in the world of JJK. As the first person in 400 years to inherit both the Six Eyes and the Limitless technique of the Gojo Clan, Gojo has an immense amount of power at his disposal.

The Six Eyes Increase Perception

The Six Eyes give Gojo enhanced sensory abilities, allowing him to perceive cursed energy and its movements with incredible clarity. This allows him to not only anticipate but to react to attacks with precision. The Six Eyes also give Gojo an almost 360-degree field of vision, making it nearly impossible for opponents to catch him off guard. Gojo can also sense and analyze cursed energy at an advanced level. The Six Eyes also give him a faster reaction time.

Limitless Distorts Space

Like the Six Eyes, Limitless is an inherited technique within the Gojo Clan. Gojo can manipulate and distort space itself. Limitless is considered one of the most advanced and powerful cursed techniques in the world of jujutsu sorcery. Pseudo-Geto's recognition of Gojo's unbeatable strength led him to conclude that direct confrontation would be futile. Instead, he devised a plan to seal Gojo away, realizing that Gojo's presence would obstruct his grand scheme to awaken a thousand incarnated sorcerers and initiate the "Golden Age of Jujutsu." By sealing Gojo, Pseudo-Geto sought to eliminate the most significant obstacle to his plan, allowing him to proceed with his agenda without interference.

Itadori Can’t Always Rely on Gojo if He Wants to Grow

The sealing of Gojo Satoru is important for the overall growth and development of Itadori Yuji. After consuming a cursed finger and becoming the vessel for Sukuna Ryomen, Itadori joins Tokyo Jujutsu High and is mentored by Gojo. He learns about the world of curses and cursed energy by Gojo. He is trained in battle and combat by Gojo. He is protected by Gojo. Since Gojo is considered the strongest, there is always a sense of protection provided by his presence.

With Gojo sealed away, Itadori can no longer rely on the power and protection of his mentor. This forced Itadori to stand on his own and confront challenges without the safety net of Gojo's strength. The absence of Gojo meant that Itadori had to face formidable adversaries, such as Mahito, on his own. This provided him with opportunities to test his abilities and grow stronger both mentally and physically. It forced Itadori to confront his fears, doubts, and weaknesses head-on.

The Takeaway

The sealing of Gojo Satoru marks a pivotal moment in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, with far-reaching implications for both the story and its characters.
