The finale of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is just around the corner, but that doesn't mean that fans have to let it go just yet. The tallest structure in Tokyo, Tokyo Sky Tree, is going to be celebrating the legacy of the series throughout the fall. This will include special theming inside the tower, including photo opportunities, art exhibitions, and a themed restaurant.
Tokyo Sky Tree has celebrated a lot of famous anime and games in the past with these kinds of exhibitions, including huge titles like Pokémon and Final Fantasy. Now, Jujutsu Kaisen will be added to the list, taking over one of Tokyo's most famous and recognizable buildings for almost three months this fall.
A Jujutsu Kaisen Compilation Film is Coming in 2025
A new Jujutsu Kaisen movie is coming in 2025, here's what we know.
Special Photo Opportunities for Jujutsu Kaisen Fans
Immerse Yourself in the World of the Anime
The main part of the special Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition at Tokyo Sky Tree will be held at the tower's observation deck, 450 meters (1,476 ft) off the ground. The whole observation deck will be decorated with key visuals from the anime franchise, along with plenty of spaces for fans to take photographs. These will include walls covered in famous screenshots from the big fight that took place in Shibuya, along with a special spot dedicated to life-sized cardboard standees of the characters. That area will have a special space where you can stand in the middle of them and take your photo with the characters, with the Tokyo skyline out the window behind you.
All along the rounded walls of the observation deck there will also be life-size illustrations of the series' characters specifically from season two, along with one of their famous quotes, giving you a chance to take your photo with your favorite ones. This stretches for an impressive 110 meters (360 ft). If you want to take a photo specifically to remember that Jujutsu Kaisen took over Sky Tree, there is also a photo area where many of the characters are around a photo of the tower itself, with a space for fans to stand in the middle for a memorable photograph.
There is a final interesting place to take a photograph, which looks like a black curtain making a frame over a portion of the Tokyo skyline. The point of this spot is to hold up your favorite Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise, such as an acrylic standee or a doll, and take their photo with the skyline. If you want to do this, plan ahead to hit the special shop before going to the observation deck, or bring something from home that you already have.
For an additional fee, you can also get a professional photo taken in an area of the observation deck that has not only glass windows but a glass floor. The final photo will have not only you, but your choice of Jujutsu Kaisen character with you. You can choose from 29 different designs, and the final photo will be given in a special keepsake frame commemorating the event. This service costs an additional 1,700 yen (around $12 USD).
Special Jujutsu Kaisen Food and Merch
What to Buy at the Exhibition
There will also be a special Jujutsu Kaisen restaurant at Skytree Cafe on the 340th floor. The cafe is expecting to be busy, so you may have to take a number and be ready to come back later when there is space. Additionally, each person will only be allowed to order 7 things from the menu, and only one of each item per visit.
The main dish is a light sandwich plate with beef pastrami, cheese sauce, guacemole, and yoghurt sauce. This is served with small cut-outs of Itadori, Gojo, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki. The sandwich plate also comes with your choice of juice drink, each one themed after one of the characters also featured on the plate. Itadori is orange juice, Fushiguro is tropical juice, Kugasaki is watermelon juice, and Gojo is mysteriously "blue white" juice.
There is also a dessert plate with a Krispy Kreme doughnut topped with ramune (soda) flavored ice cream and whipped cream, served with a side of mango. The doughnut plate has small cut-outs of Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri. Like the sandwich plate, it also comes with your choice of drink themed after the characters, though this time it is cream soda. The flavors are not listed on the press release, but Gojo's is blue, Geto's is orange, and Ieiri's is green. Each drink from both sets comes with a random character coaster.
Finally, there is a special Jujutsu Kaisen shop to visit in the Sky Tree Shop on the 345th floor. All the items in the shop are exclusive to the exhibition, featuring the characters and Sky Tree itself in the designs. These include acrylic standees (perfect for the photo spot mentioned above), key chains, ramune candy containers, tote bags, clear files, and badges.
Last but not least, the Tokyo skyline itself will be celebrating Jujutsu Kaisen throughout the fall with something you don't have to pay to see. The outside of the actual tower will be lighting up with color schemes inspired by the anime throughout the month, which you can see from all over the city. It will change every three minutes between the four color schemes. The days this will happen are September 25th, 28th, and 29th, October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, and 31st, November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, and December 7th, 14th, and 21st, from around 6:30pm to 11pm.
The Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition at Tokyo Sky Tree will run from September 25th, 2024–December 22nd, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan. Tickets are 3,500 yen ($24 USD) for adults on weekdays, and 3,800 yen ($26 USD) on weekends.
