Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the biggest shonen series at the moment. The series’ popularity skyrocketed thanks to the anime adaptation - and that all started with Season 1 back in 2020. Then, it was followed by the second season in 2023, and the Shibuya arc is now praised by many as one of the best anime arcs ever.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 might trump both of these, especially as it is hyped up by everyone working on it to be the best-produced part of the series.
Both Yuji and Gojo’s voice actors have gone on the record saying this new season will be insane, and this has only gotten fans more excited.
Of course, while everyone is excited for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, it raises a major question — When will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 be released? This season just got a major release date update, and it’s not looking good.

JJK Season 3 Will Come Out In 2026
While there is technically no mention of the release date, or even a release window for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, some things have made it obvious this new season is not coming out in 2025.
Indeed, it was recently stated that the voice actors for Jujutsu Kaisen are recording their lines, but they have yet to see the animated scenes. And of course, the full production is still ongoing. There’s no way they can manage to finish all of this in 2025, so Jujutsu Kaisen’s release date is going to be in 2026. The series could come out in spring or in summer.
3 years is definitely a long wait, but it’s not that different from the wait time between Season 1 and Season 2.
