Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the manga of the same name written by Gege Akutami. The manga began serializing in 2018, and it reached its climax in 2024. Despite the manga being serialized for only a few years, it managed to become one of the few titles to have sold more than 100 million copies. This is without a doubt an outstanding achievement and one that Gege Akutami can be proud of.

Much of Jujutsu Kaisen's popularity is due to the immense anime adaptation by MAPPA. The studio has toiled to produce top-notch episodes that won over fans.
