In Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the legendary Culling Game event is currently being covered. In essence, this event showed the forces of Jujutsu High going up against powerful sorcerers from both modern and ancient times in order to free Gojo, free Tsumiki, and put a stop to Kenjaku's plan, which was to create a massive Cursed Spirit.

As such, the opponents they faced ranged from quite weak to exceptionally powerful, leading to many interesting battles for each of the main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen. So, in this article, let's go over the most important fighters in the entire Culling Game arc and see what exactly makes them so vital for the plot in the first place.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Strongest Attacks Of All Time, Ranked

There are many powerful, one-shot attacks in the series, so let's take a look at which ones are the strongest.

Yuji Accumulated Points By Facing Many Different Sorcerers

A Decent Contribution

  • The entire plan of the heroes was to accumulate the most amount of points by participating in the game in order to free Tsumiki, since there was no way to supersede the ironclad rules and conditions set by Kenjaku. Because of this, Yuji played a bit of a middling role in terms of the larger plot within this arc.

His hard work shouldn't be understated, though, since he did well to defeat some ancient sorcerers in order to accumulate the most points that he could, and he was also essential in bringing Hakari and Higuruma into the fold for the inevitable ultimate battle. So, overall, Yuji was definitely important in the Culling Game, though not as much as some others.

Hakari Managed To Recruit The Strongest Contestant

A Set-Up For The Ultimate Fight

It was revealed very early on in the arc that the heroes needed all the help they could get, specifically from the most powerful allies they could find. This was the reason they recruited Hakari, an expelled Jujutsu sorcerer whose strength was on the same level as Yuta himself. Once he was brought into the fold, Hakari proved to be just as useful as everyone thought.

Due to his immense Cursed Energy and insane technique, Hakari went out and accumulated quite a few points. However, his biggest contribution was when he defeated the most dangerous player in the entire event, Hajime Kashimo, who was someone that was far above everyone else and had the most points in the entire game. After Hakari defeated him, he not only took all of his points, but he also recruited Kashimo in the ultimate battle that took place in the Shinjuku Showdown.

Hana's Unrivaled Role Was Shown At The End Of The Arc

Essential For The Shinjuku Showdown

Unlike the others, Hana's role within the Culling Game arc wasn't one of a combatant, as she always played more of a support role despite being befitted with perhaps the most powerful Cursed Technique in the entire series. Because of this, she managed to save Megumi around halfway through the arc.

However, her true utility and strength came at the close of the Culling Game. Her Cursed Technique, called Jacob's Ladder, was a massive beam of energy that stripped away and negated all other Cursed Techniques, which she then used on the Prison Realm in order to free Gojo from his captivity.

Yuta Garnered Many Points And Defeated Powerhouses

Legendary Strength

As someone who boasts even greater reserves of Cursed Energy than Satoru Gojo himself, Yuta is one of the most powerful characters in the entire series. This incredible power was on full display in the Culling Game arc, as Yuta was able to do things that most of the others from Jujutsu High simply couldn't.

He managed to garner some of the highest points out of all the participants in the Culling Game as it was almost 200. On top of this, Yuta objectively went up against the highest number of powerful sorcerers, most of whom were reincarnated ones from various points of Japan's history. Against some of the greatest enemies, Yuta still emerged victorious and garnered a lot of points.

Megumi Had The Greatest Contribution From The Heroes

A Great Performance

While Megumi is the resident punching bag within the Jujutsu Kaisen community, none can deny that his efforts in the Culling Game arc were the greatest out of the protagonists. Not only did he accrue many points throughout the arc, he also set himself apart as one of the only characters who added a rule in the overall game.

The way he managed to get all of these points was through many intense battles with powerful sorcerers, particularly reincarnated ones who were exceptionally strong. Despite this, Megumi managed to use his Cursed Technique and incomplete Domain Expansion to come out on top, distinguishing himself as the most important fighter in the Culling Game event, even though his eventual fate was quite dire.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
