Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has proven to be quite exciting so far. The series has introduced a whole new race to the fans, and at the same time expanded upon the world-building tremendously. JJK Modulo has also given a lot of attention to the incredible power system of the world, and it has also done brilliantly to introduce monstrously powerful individuals to the fans as well.

In a plethora of new characters that the series has thrown the fans' way, Gege has also introduced a mighty sorcerer who can actually go on to not just rival, but even defeat Gojo Satoru. Fans are very well aware of how powerful Gojo was with his incredible Limitless cursed technique and the six Eyes, but JJK's new monster sorcerer, that is Dabura Karaba, possesses the power to defeat even him.

Gojo Satoru was the strongest sorcerer of his time. This is largely because he was born with the power of the Limitless Cursed Technique, which is an inherited Cursed Technique of the Gojo clan, as well as the Six Eyes, which is a very special trait that appears only once in hundreds of years. In fact, Gojo was the first person in 400 years to possess the combo of both the Limitless Cursed Technique and the Six Eyes. With these two powers put together, Gojo was almost unstoppable. Once he mastered the Limitless Cursed technique completely, Gojo was so strong that the only one worthy of standing in battle against him would be Sukuna.
I think it was during the Edo period...or maybe Keicho? I forget, but the heads of the respective households killed each other in a fight before the aristocracy. Back then, the leaders were a Limitless Cursed Technique user with the Six Eyes like me for the Gojo Family, and a Ten Shadows technique user like Megumi for the Zenin Family. In Shinjuku Showdown, Gojo and Sukuna clashed in an enthralling duel, and it was quite clear to see that these two were neck and neck. Gege even confirmed later down the line that Gojo and Sukuna were largely equal, and that Gojo only lost the battle due to a momentary lapse in concentration. At the end of the day, Gojo had to lose the battle for the story to continue, but it can clearly be said that he was Sukuna's true equal.
Now, it appears that JJK Modulo has given the fans another sorcerer on the same level and that is Dabura Karaba. Dabura comes from the Deskunte tribe of the Simurians. It seems that the Deskunte are the strongest in Simuria, and they possess some incredible powers. Dabura in particular has the special ability passed down the Deskunte tribe and that is murderous intent and light. In simple words, Dabura can rival the likes of Gojo and Sukuna and perhaps even go on to surpass them.
Dabura's Cursed Technique Is Murderous Light
Dabura's cursed technique allows him to bring the concept of murderous intent to life and give it actual mass. This mass can be applied to things like light itself, giving it actual weight as well as murderous ability, allowing for its free manipulation. This cursed technique in itself is extremely overpowered and with it, fans know very well that Dabura, who has been compared to Sukuna, can beat Gojo as well.

With his cursed technique, Dabura was able to cause devastation on the same level as Sukuna in the battle against Mahoraga. His powerful ability can even be compared to Gojo's very own Hollow Purple in a way.
Just as Gojo brings to reality the concept of virtual mass with his Hollow Purple, Dabura can bring to life the concept of murderous intent and give it real mass.
Quite clearly, these two sorcerers are very similar and as such, it can be inferred that Dabura can defeat Gojo just as Sukuna did. To be fair, Dabura would be able to defeat Gojo about 5 out of 10 times, because they are most likely on a similar level of strength.
Dabura Would Be A Worthy Rival For Gojo Satoru
A battle between Dabura and Gojo would be a sight for the fans to behold. Fans already know that Gojo's fighting style is one of the best in the entirety of JJK. Dabura, someone with a very similar yet vastly different cursed technique, has popped up, and had Gojo been alive, he would have relished this opportunity to fight against the strongest of the Simurians.
Unfortunately, that cannot happen since Gojo is already dead. But, Dabura would clearly have been a phenomenal rival for Gojo to take on in battle. The outcome of this fight would depend on which way Gege wants the outcome to affect the current political conflict.
But, Dabura standing a fair shot at beating Gojo cannot be denied. Similarly, Gojo would also most likely stand a chance to win in battle against Dabura. This is especially the case because Gojo also knows very powerful Reverse Cursed Technique as well as Barrier Techniques, along with much else, and it is unclear at this point in time if the Simurians know barrier techniques or things like reverse cursed technique.
Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series is set 68 years into the future, after the events of Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 16 will be released on December 21, 2025.
