Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has enjoyed a stunning start and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that this story is already shocking every fan of the series. Gege Akutami, whose story is usually more grounded in battles and less so in world-building, has completely flipped the script in his sequel manga and shown everyone what a truly phenomenal story he can write.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is more focused on the societal issues that surround people, and at the same time, it has been shown to have great world-building so far. That's not to say that the series doesn't have powerful characters, however. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has got some very strong next-generation sorcerers, out of whom Yuka Okkotsu and Tsurugi take the spotlight. But, it is the alien race of Simurians that are truly among the strongest. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is now confirmed to have a new strongest, and that's none other than Dabura, one of the Deskunte. Gege Akutami recently gave the fans a glimpse of Dabura’s powers, and it is quite clear to see that he's a monster in his own right.

Right from the get-go, fans knew that Dabura would be the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and it is quite clear to see that in the latest chapter of the manga. Dabura's overwhelming strength was shown in combat against Dura, the man known to be the strongest of the Rumelians. The two were made to fight to the death, and the loser would have most of their land taken, which meant neither had an option but to fight.

It’s Time To Admit That JJK Modulo Has Already Surpassed The Original Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen is amazing, but its sequel, Modulo, is surpassing it in many aspects.
To make matters worse, Dabura's sister was taken hostage by his people, so even though he didn't want to fight his friend Dura, he had no choice. In the end, the battle was extremely one-sided, and Dabura absolutely demolished the strongest of the Rumelians, Dura, although he chose not to hurt his face out of respect.
This was a small display of his power by Gege Akutami. Dura was quite powerful on his own, possibly on the level of a Special Grade Sorcerer, yet Dabura easily killed him. What's more, it was confirmed that he didn't even go all out in the battle, and that's because Dura was a close friend of his.

Dabura Is A Kind-Hearted Deskunte
His Goal Is To Seek A New Home Without Violence
Dabura might look like the evil antagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, but the fact is that he's actually a kind-hearted man. Dabura was a friend of Dura, and he wanted to work with him towards his dream of being true neighbors. Ultimately, he chose to leave Simuria behind in search of a place where he'd be truly accepted, and he chose to keep the promise of protecting all Simurians he made to Dura.
Dabura doesn't want or seek violence, and what he wants is for people not to judge him for how he looks, or the fact that he's an alien. In many ways, fans quickly jumping to paint Dabura as an evil alien was Gege's way of proving the point that they're no different from other humans, and that all they seek is peaceful coexistence with a friendly neighbor that accepts them.
Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free. It is available to access on Manga Plus, where this series used to be made available weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen currently has a sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, which runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 9 will be released on November 2, 2025.
