Gojo and Sukuna were true equals who held unprecedented levels of power. Their overall strength was such that what they could do with sorcery was simply considered beyond human comprehension.

Gojo and Sukuna were truly on a completely different level when compared to the vast majority of the sorcerers that exist in the JJK world. However, both of them are dead now. Gojo died in the Shinjuku Showdown, and fans know that Sukuna was followed shortly after. Now, 68 years later, a new strongest has arrived, and that is none other than Dabura Karaba. While more fans debated whether he was going to be on the same level as Gojo and Sukuna, the fact is that now he has surpassed all mankind in physical prowess, which includes those two monsters from the old era.
Gojo and Sukuna Were The Strongest Of The Old Era In JJK

In the old era of JJK, that is, in the original storyline, Gojo and Sukuna stood tall as the two strongest. While Gojo was the strongest of the modern era, Sukuna was the strongest of the old era, and they truly possessed unprecedented powers.
In the case of Satoru, fans know that he was born in the legendary Gojo family and that he had a chance at getting the Inherited Technique of the clan, which he most certainly did. Gojo inherited the Limitless, but more than that, he was also blessed with the Six Eyes. After 400 years, Gojo was the first person to be born with both the Limitless and the Six Eyes, and that truly gave him tremendous potential. But, being born with this power was certainly not enough. Gojo trained relentlessly to take this power to the absolute limits and became a legendary sorcerer in his own right. Few could ever hold a candle up to Gojo, and his only true equal in the story was none other than Sukuna.
Coming over to Sukuna, fans know that the King of Curses was born with a body known to be perfect for Jujutsu sorcery, and this is because he ended up consuming his own twin in his mother's womb. Sukuna was born with two pairs of arms as well as a mouth on his stomach, and that gave him a massive advantage over all others. His powerful technique, known as Shrine, allowed him to slice and dice his enemies, and he also held the power of the Furnace to incinerate just about everyone with thermobaric explosions.
Sukuna took the art of Jujutsu sorcery to a completely new level and did things that were seemingly impossible for any other sorcerer. In the Golden Age of Sorcery, Sukuna became so strong that sorcerers decided to fight him to sharpen their skills, and that goes to show how skilled he truly was.
Gojo and Sukuna together were monsters the likes of which the world would never go on to see again, but now, a new strongest has arrived from a completely different planet, and for the very first time, he is being pushed to new levels. This new strongest is Dabura Karaba, and JJK Modulo chapter 18 has seen to it that Dabura reaches new levels of power.
Dabura Karaba Has Officially Surpassed Human Limitations

When Dabura first showed up in JJK Modulo Chapter 18, he was quickly labeled as a Sukuna-level threat. This is because Dabura was clearly a Special Grade and could not be graded properly by the System that the Jujutsu society had established. However, his true level of power was still unknown.
When Dabura's cursed technique was first revealed, fans truly got a glimpse of why he could be a Sukuna-level threat. This is because Dabura was revealed to have two special cursed techniques:
- The first is killing intent, given life.
- The second is light.
Dabura could use killing intent on just about anything, including his light, using which he could devastate anyone that exists in the world of JJK. However, when his battle against Mahoraga began, Dabura's limits were truly tested. He was completely unaware of Mahoraga's adaptation process and, as such, tried to kill it in a plethora of ways. Slowly but steadily, Mahoraga kept adapting to Dabura's skill set, and eventually, fully adapted to his light cursed technique. As such, Dabura started being overwhelmed by Mahoraga, and for the first time in his life, he truly feared a worthy opponent in front of him.

Dabura, being a warrior of the Deskunte tribe, has now decided to use his cursed technique to the absolute fullest, which means that he is going to surpass all his limits. At the end of JJK Modulo Chapter 18, the author, Gege Akutami, clearly states that Dabura is now going to venture paths that have not been tread by humanity before. In simple words, Dabura is now officially going beyond the levels of Gojo and Sukuna, both of whom are humans. The level that Dabura is going to display in terms of physical prowess is going to be beyond anything that Gojo and Sukuna have ever reached, and that is what makes him truly special.
Dabura Can Move At Sublight Speeds
As fans know, Dabura's cursed technique includes light. Fans see him manipulate light in many ways, such as skewering enemies with beams or dealing damage with light bullets, and so on and so forth. However, Dabura never truly moved at light speed or used this light on his own body. This is because he did not believe that his body would be able to sustain this movement and would be ripped to shreds. However, for the very first time, Dabura is now willing to push his body to the absolute limits.

As confirmed by the narrator itself, Dabura is now set to move at sub-light speed and dance across the battlefield. While Dabura will not move at the speed of light itself, he will move at speeds relative to the speed of light, which is as much as his body can take before it completely disintegrates. In other words, Dabura is now on a level that even Gojo and Sukuna can't even perceive, at least physically. This also means that in the battle against Mahoraga, Dabura is going to be victorious. As strong as Mahoraga is, dealing with someone who hits at sub-light speeds and travels with such intensity is impossible.
Dabura Could Easily Become The New Strongest
In terms of physical prowess alone, Dabura has already surpassed Gojo and Sukuna, and that is the fact. Gege himself stated that he has surpassed all limitations of humankind and reached levels that have never been tread by any human before, and that automatically puts him above Gojo and Sukuna in terms of physicality.
But, there is more to Jujutsu Sorcery than just that. As far as fans know, Dabura does not have access to the reverse cursed technique, and he certainly doesn't have access to things like barrier techniques, and that means he doesn't have a domain either. All these things matter a lot when it comes to Jujutsu Sorcery.
That said, Dabura still has the potential to grow. If he continues to grow at this unprecedented rate, then he could certainly go on to become the all-time strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen, even above the likes of Gojo and Sukuna. Even if he doesn't go on to do that, Dabura certainly stands a chance of being the strongest regardless because of his body now being capable of moving and hitting at sub-light speeds.
Jujutsu Kaisen's sequel, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series is set 68 years into the future, after the events of Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandchildren of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 19 will be released on January 25, 2026.
