This article contains spoilers from the JJK Modulo manga.
Things are heating up in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, as Dabura Karaba’s fight with Mahoraga rages on. JJK Modulo Chapter 18 delves into Dabura's character, unveiling a rare moment of vulnerability from a seemingly invincible figure. It’s a great build-up to his long-awaited breaking point, where Dabura defeats Mahoraga and becomes a true warrior, just as his younger sister and Dura always believed he could.
Now that we mentioned Dabura’s sister, JJK Modulo Chapter 18 also confirmed an exciting detail about her that many fans may have missed. As it turns out, Dabura’s sister is not in Simuria, and she has been traveling alongside her brother and the rest of the Rumelians on Earth. This detail completely overturns the assumption that she was kidnapped by the Deskunte chieftain in Simuria.

Dabura takes center stage in JJK Modulo chapter 19. Dabura finally surpasses Mahoraga.
Dabura’s Sister Is the Hooded Woman in JJK Modulo Chapter 18
Dabura’s Sister Is Not In Simuria
- Dabura's sister travelled on Naunax to Earth.
- Dabura's sister is not kept hostage by the Deskunte Tribe.
Yuji Itadori isn’t the only character in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo who wears a hoodie that covers his face, as Dabura’s unnamed younger sister also wears a hood that makes her look like a nun. Her first appearance was in JJK Modulo Chapter 9, where she was standing right beside Dabura, who was in the middle of talking with the Rumelians. While it isn’t difficult to spot her, it didn’t sit right with the fans to assume that she was truly Dabura’s sister.
However, in JJK Modulo Chapter 18, the hooded girl appears once more during a flashback about Dabura. Her appearance isn’t random, as the scene subtly ties her relevance to Dabura’s past and present. Just like Dura, the unnamed sister occupies a significant part in Dabura’s support system even without her identity being explicitly confirmed.
With this in mind, it’s safe to say that Dabura’s sister is not in Simuria. She isn’t kidnapped or held against her will by the Deskunte chieftain. Instead, she is with Dabura and the Rumelians all this time. For now, Dabura's sister is safe and sound, as Jabaloma confirmed that Earth is out of the death curse's range.
Dabura’s Sister Has a Death Curse
Dabura Is Looking for a Cure on Earth
- The Deskunte Tribe put a death curse on Dabura's sister that seemingly works like a cursed technique.
- The Black Rope may free Dabura's sister from her death curse.
JK Modulo has been dropping bits of details about Dabura’s sister and her unfortunate state. So far, fans know that Dabura is actively looking for a cure or anything that could break the death curse on his younger sister. He came to Earth not just in search of a new place to live with the Rumelians, but also to find a cure for his sister before the Deskunte tribe found them.
The Deskunte tribe is responsible for putting the curse on Dabura’s sister. Unfortunately, this curse activates whenever Dabura defies the chieftain’s orders, which explains why he had to kill Dura in a duel. In addition, the curse on Dabura’s sister will automatically activate upon the death of the chieftain, making it difficult for Dabura to assassinate the chieftain despite his immense power.
If we can get our hands on it, it might be possible to break your sister’s curse.—Usami to Dabura
Now on Earth, Dabura’s sister is out of the death curse’s range, but that doesn’t mean her safety is guaranteed. The Deskunte tribe still poses a threat, and they may have plans to drag her back to Simuria, where the chieftain could regain his tight hold on Dabura.
Dabura’s Sister Needs the Black Rope
Earth’s Best Cursed Tool to Gain Dabura’s Trust
To break the death curse on Dabura’s sister, Earth’s representatives, led by Usami, offered to track down the cursed tool called Black Rope in Africa. Long-time JJK fans know that the Black Rope has the power to cancel the effects of cursed techniques, so it's the best shot to lift the death curse and save Dabura’s sister. If they can find it, they can also gain Dabura’s trust.
Earning Dabura’s trust is something that could prevent the all-out war between Jujutsu Sorcerers and Rumelians, considering he’s the strongest of his kind. Unfortunately, there’s no lead on the Black Rope’s location, leaving Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu with a daunting mission to protect the world against Dabura, Maru, and the rest of the aliens.
