With each passing chapter, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo edges closer to its end, and fans know that the final battles of this short serialization have already begun. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the clash of Dabura and Yuka, who has unleashed Mahoraga on the former. But, right now, the story seems to be focusing more on the fight between Tsurugi and Maru. As was the case in the previous chapter, the vast majority of the focus in the upcoming JJK Modulo Chapter 18 is most likely going to be on these two individuals, especially after the arrival of Rika.
After Yuji Itadori, Gege Akutami Finally Sets Up The New Strongest Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen
Yuji is strong, but so is this newly rising sorcerer in JJK Modulo.
For the very first time in many years, Rika has shown herself and fused with Tsurugi, which means that the fight against Maru is now that much more exciting. Fans should expect some very intense action in the upcoming chapter of JJK, and at the same time, possibly even some lore about Yuta and Maki from Rika. In either case, it is an exciting moment for all the fans of Jujutsu Kaisen because the manga is finally making a grand return after all the breaks due to the holiday period.

It is safe to say that the vast majority of the focus in JJK Modulo Chapter 18 will go to Rika and Tsurugi. In the previous chapter, Maru showed his ability to the fans properly, and it is safe to say that he was clearly way too overpowered for Tsurugi to deal with. Now is the time for Tsurugi to show what he is truly capable of. Of course, fans know very well that Tsurugi is a Heavenly Restricted human. But he still has some traces of cursed energy. Because of that, he can't truly go on to reach the same level as Maki in combat, at least not yet. But, now that Rika has appeared and fused with him, his fighting style will have changed drastically.

Rika has near infinite reserves of cursed energy and she also has weapon storage. This means Tsurugi will likely gain access to some interesting weapons in the upcoming chapter of JJK Modulo. More than that, Tsurugi will most likely also go on to inherit the Copy Cursed Technique. So far, he did not even have access to a cursed technique, but now, through Rika, he could have access to a power that could change the entire fight and end it rather quickly.
Rika is one of the most powerful characters in the entirety of the series, and her strength was such that she was termed to be the Queen of Curses. Even in the battle against Sukuna, it was because of Rika that Yuta was able to get big openings on the King of Curses, and he could actually have defeated him if luck was on his side. Against Maru, this should be more than enough for Tsurugi to clinch the victory.
Fans should see Rika going all out and showcasing her abilities in JJK Modulo Chapter 18, and this means the upcoming chapter is going to belong to her. The expectation should be for Maru to be on the back foot in the upcoming chapter, and for Tsurugi to slowly grow into it and dominate the fight.

Perhaps in a chapter or two, this fight will wrap up. This is even clearer when taking into consideration the fact that JJK Modulo is a short serialization, and there are not going to be too many chapters dedicated to major battles. Given the number of plot points that are still left to unravel, fans should expect this fight to end rather quickly.
After 2 Years, Jujutsu Kaisen Has The Perfect Replacement For Gojo Vs Sukuna
Gojo vs Sukuna was a legendary battle. Gege is setting up a new battle with similar grandeur in JJK Modulo.
With Rika having made her appearance in the battle, this fight should end in a chapter or two at most, and Maru will go on to lose. What's even more important to keep in mind is that this battle between Maru and Tsurugi is rather pointless. The fight is simply based on the chaotic emotions of two brothers. Tsurugi asks Maru to leave Earth if he wins this duel, and Maru wants to prove that he will stay if he wins the battle. However, neither of these things is that simple.
Even if Tsurugi goes on to win the battle, Dabura exists, and he is not going to move back to his planet just because Maru lost the battle. Similarly, the earthlings are full of apprehension concerning the Simurians now, and just because Maru won a duel with Tsurugi doesn't mean that all that will simply vanish. This battle is two siblings not thinking straight, and that is precisely why it needs to end as soon as possible, or perhaps even be intercepted by someone like Iori Okkotsu.

The main part of JJK Modulo that every fan wants to see at this point in the story is the fight between Dabura and Mahoraga. As fans know, Yuka summoned Mahoraga to the battlefield immediately after arriving, and since then, the Shikigami has been relentlessly trying to adapt to the cursed technique of the strongest Simurian. This battle has the attention of all the fans, and hopefully, it will be touched upon in the upcoming chapter.

That said, fans should not expect too much from this fight right now. JJK Modulo Chapter 18 will most likely pave the way for the conclusion of Maru and Tsurugi's battle before taking things back to Dabura and Mahoraga. Exciting developments could still take place if Mahoraga adapts to Dabura's cursed technique. Then, it will be interesting to see how the King of Simurians decides to fight back and what his next strategy is going to be.
Yuji Itadori's Return Edges Closer
Most importantly, fans should keep in mind that Yuji Itadori could show up at any point, and this also includes JJK Modulo Chapter 18. The fact is that Yuji is the only one who can save Yuka right now. She has dragged Dabura into the exorcism ritual, which means that regardless of whether Dabura wins or loses, Yuka also dies. The only way the ritual can be stopped and Yuka's life can be saved is if Yuji Itadori, or some other outsider, comes and takes down Mahoraga. That is precisely why Yuji Itadori is desperately needed at this point in the story, and JJK Modulo Chapter 18 could build up towards that. In either case, fans are incredibly excited to see what Gege Akutami has in store for them this week.
