Ever since Jujutsu Kaisen began airing, anime fans have constantly praised its quality. The series has been complimented for its amazing animation and storytelling. Of course, these are not the only two things that elevate Jujutsu Kaisen above the other new-generation shonen titles.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Season 3 Will Have The Biggest Fights Yet

In addition to the aforementioned reasons, Jujutsu Kaisen also has a phenomenal cast of characters. Almost every major character in the series brings something new to the table, which is a rare quality. Gege Akutami put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into creating Jujutsu Kaisen characters, so it's no surprise that the characters are so good. Naturally, standing out of such an impressive group takes extra effort, which is why Gege Akutami only did so for the main characters, one of whom is Yuta Okkotsu.
Yuta Okkotsu Will Be A Key Player In The Culling Game
Yuta Okkotsu served as the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which is the prequel to the current story. The movie discloses many important details about Yuta Okkotsu, including how he got his hands on Rika Orimoto, the Queen of Curses. Fans who have yet to start watching Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 should refrain from doing so and instead start with JJK 0. Without the movie, fans will not gain a thorough understanding of Yuta's origins, his relationships with other characters, and his eventual rise to fame.
In the first two episodes of JJK Season 3, it has been made abundantly clear that Yuta Okkotsu is going to be an overarching character who will be at the center of the Culling Game. His priority, along with Yuji, is to search for Angel, a sorcerer who can erase any cursed technique. This makes her crucial to the plan of rescuing Gojo Satoru from harm. However, reaching her won't be so simple, which is why Yuta Okkotsu needs to be on his toes. Thankfully, Yuta is a strong fighter, and there aren't many people who can push him.
Yuta Okkotsu's Cursed Technique Is Extremely Overpowered

Yuta Okkotsu's cursed technique is completely centered around Rika, a special grade cursed spirit. For the uninitiated, Rika is a curse spirit created as a result of Rika Orimoto's love for Yuta. While Rika passed away, the cursed spirit remained with Yuta. Initially, it was difficult for Yuta to get Rika's whimsical nature under control, but things have improved a lot because of his training. Currently, Rika listens to Yuta's commands and doesn't always disobey him. However, there are still some occurrences when Rika acts on her own accord and attacks any person whom she deems a threat to Yuta.
Since Rika is a special grade cursed spirit, she has a ton of cursed energy, which is obviously beneficial to Yuta. The latter can summon her into battle anytime to attack his enemy or to defend himself from an incoming attack. She can also be used to hold an enemy in place so that Yuta can finish them off effortlessly.
Aside from Rika, Yuta also has an innate cursed technique called Copycat, which allows him to copy the abilities of any person whose body parts have been devoured by Rika. Yuta's Copycat is an extremely overwhelming ability, and it potentially makes him invincible in combat. When Yuta goes to one of the colonies to fight other sorcerers, he will most certainly put Copycat to use. This means Yuta could end up obtaining several new cursed techniques, which he could put to use in the fight against Kenjaku or any other person who poses a threat to humanity.
Yuta's Cursed Technique Is Invaluable
As previously stated, Yuta's Copycat is an outstanding ability. It is strong enough to change the tide of battle completely. Aside from combat, Yuta can utilize his cursed technique to copy valuable innate techniques that can heal or protect him and his allies in combat.
With Gojo Satoru sealed away, there is even more pressure on Yuta Okkotsu to do things right and save humanity from the clutches of Kenjaku and Sukuna. Without him, Yuji and the other heroes stand absolutely no chance of winning the long war.
