Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 264 dropped recently and it is safe to say that this week's chapter was certainly one of the most exciting ones that the fans have seen in the entire series. JJK has been living up to its expectations as of late, and now, as the series heads closer to its end, fans know that they are in for a treat as Sukuna is now fighting against the protagonist of the series, Yuji. This means great things for both these characters, as fans know that Sukuna, who is due to bow out sooner rather than later, will get a chance to shine properly, but at the same time, the protagonist of the series, who is going to save the day, will get major power upgrades.

In fact, he has already received significant upgrades over the course of the last few months, with more to come later down the line. Yuji has certainly done exceedingly well, having attained multiple powers over the last few chapters, but now, he has brought out his ultimate trump card, Domain Expansion, and this is something that fans were anticipating right from the get-go.

JJK chapter 264 was absolutely sensational in more ways than one. Not only did it showcase Sukuna retaining his Reverse Cursed Technique, it also ensured that Yuji got plenty of shine, as he got accustomed to his cursed technique. Yuji landed one blow after another on the King of Curses, completely overwhelming him in terms of physical strength in the chapter, and in the end, he resorted to utilizing a domain. This might have come as a surprise to many fans, given that a lot did not expect Yuji to ever manifest a domain. However, the basis for this was already there. Before the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, Yuji had neither got access to a cursed technique, nor a domain.
Domain Expansion – Yuji Itadori
As such, learning skills such as Domain Expansion was impossible for him. However, things changed significantly during the timeskip and Yuji unleashed all his abilities in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc. For one, Yuji now has access to two cursed techniques, as fans have seen over the course of the last few months. More importantly, he also has the ability to use simple domains, which means that his expertise in barrier techniques is certainly there now. Combining the two techniques gives one a Domain Expansion, and that is precisely what Yuji has utilized now against Sukuna. Yuji is ready to end this battle for good, and fans know for a fact that they only have a short bout left in the finale of JJK before the story completely ends for good.
What Technique Could Yuji Imbue In His Domain?
Yuji Will Make Use Of The Shrine In His Domain
Yuji opened his domain against Sukuna at the very end of JJK chapter 264. Fans did not get to see his domain or what technique he was utilizing. The only thing that fans saw was him making a hand sign and uttering the words “Domain Expansion.” What followed was Yuji, and Sukuna in Yuji's body, at a train station. This was somewhat similar to how Gojo, after being hit by the World Splitting dismantle, awoke at an airport and was greeted by Geto. In this case, it was Sukuna being greeted by Yuji, and things will continue from here onwards in the next chapter.

Most importantly, fans know that this train station in itself could be Yuji's domain, or, it could be a manifestation of Sukuna's space between life and death, just as fans got to see with Gojo. Regardless, fans need to focus on Yuji's domain, and there are two ways this domain could go.
Cursed techniques that are imbued inside a domain cannot miss and this is something that fans have known for quite a while. This is why Yuji's Domain Expansion is somewhat unpredictable. Yuji doesn't have just one but two cursed techniques. He has the power of the blood manipulation cursed technique, which was drilled into him by his brother, after he made him consume the Death Painting number 4 to 9.

Fans finally get to see Yuji's long-awaited power-up in his fight against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Now, Yuji can use things such as Convergence, and, of course, as a product of that, things such as Piercing Blood. Yuji can also use Blood Manipulation to heal himself with reverse cursed technique, which is more efficient than regular reverse curse technique healing.
At the same time, Yuji also has access to the Shrine cursed technique, and this gives him a completely new array of abilities. Essentially, he has the same cursed technique as Sukuna, but his usage of it is slightly different from the King of Curses. Yuji could imbue either of these techniques in his domain and that is precisely why his domain is very unpredictable. It will be interesting to see how Yuji's domain works in the next chapter, but, if one has to bet, then betting on the Shrine cursed technique being imbued in the domain would be the way to go. This is because the Shrine is Yuji's own cursed technique and something that he has developed in a way where it is starkly different from the version that Sukuna uses.
Yuji is there to guide souls that can't be redeemed to the afterlife, and perhaps, for this reason, his Domain Expansion will be Benevolent Shrine, instead of Malevolent Shrine. This would also parallel how Yuji is the opposite of Sukuna, and how his cursed technique is more careful than Sukuna's malicious slashes.
The Imbuing Of Soul Powers

Regardless of what technique Yuji uses in his domain, one thing that fans need to keep in mind is that he is eventually going to make use of soul powers here. Yuji could have a Soul Dismantle as his sure-hit attack. This Soul Dismantle could be his ultimate attack which he utilizes to separate Megumi from Sukuna and completely eliminate the threat of the King of Curses. This would certainly make for a fine attack, but, fans should not forget that Yuji has other soul powers aside from just the Soul Dismantle. Yuji innately has this ability to affect souls and damage them in some way or form.
Fans don't know how exactly this power exists within him, but this ability could be taken to the next level inside his domain. Perhaps, that is why Sukuna is seeing Yuji in front of him and they are at a train station. This could be Yuji affecting Sukuna's very own soul in some way or form, guiding him to the afterworld, or forcing him to look inward. Perhaps, Yuji's domain is a soul domain, where he affects the souls of his enemies directly in some way, and eliminates them from the inside, so they can pass on to the afterlife.
Of course, to do that, Yuji would still need some attacks to damage the King, and this could potentially be accomplished with the Soul Dismantle as the sure hit of the domain. But, in theory, Yuji's domain would allow him to maximize his control over souls and deal tremendous damage to them, and in the end, force them to move on to the afterlife.
