In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, a new generation of sorcerers who inherit clan legacies steeped in power and politics are leading the story. While Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin’s grandchildren, Yuka and Tsurugi, carry the combined strength of two powerful sorcerer clans, they also inherited the high expectations that came with their mighty bloodline. With direct ties to the most influential families in the Jujutsu Society, Yuka and Tsurugi are constantly under scrutiny.

Unfortunately, the modern-day setting of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo still places Yuta and Tsurugi Okkotsu under the same rigid and outdated traditions followed and implemented by the great Jujutsu clans. It’s almost as if their predecessors’ efforts to dismantle the old system and move forward were nothing more than a temporary crack in an unbreakable wall.

The Zenin Clan was once an incredibly influential sorcerer clan, alongside the Gojo and Kamo clans, in the jujutsu world, with members renowned for their powerful cursed techniques. As Jujutsu Kaisen fans know, they hold powerful sorcerers in high regard and ostracize those deemed weak or unworthy, which made the Zenin name synonymous with both power and uncompromising elitism.

Apart from Toji Fushiguro, Maki Zenin is probably the most iconic member of the Zenin Clan, famous for her unforgettable yet brutal actions against the entire family. In Tsurugi’s eyes, Maki proved her clan wrong by shutting them up with her true power after a lifetime of being treated as a failure, while Yuka saw her grandmother’s actions as nothing more than a brutal massacre of the Zenin family.

In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the Zenin Clan comes to an end with Maki’s death, closing a chapter on one of Jujutsu Kaisen’s big three families. Both Tsurugi and Yuka show little to no interest in associating themselves with the Zenin clan, determined instead to define their identities outside the shadow of their clans, just like Maki and Yuta. So far, no other member of the Zenin Clan has been introduced in the sequel.

Every Jujutsu Kaisen fan knows that Gojo Satoru was the cornerstone of the Gojo Clan, the strongest sorcerer who was born with the Six Eyes and the Limitless, effectively positioning him as the leader of the clan back in the original series. However, after Gojo’s death, the clan and its members were survived by Yuta Okkotsu, who unfortunately met his end in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.

With no powerful sorcerers like Gojo and Yuta leading the clan, Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu are emerging as the clan’s future leaders. However, the Okkotsu siblings remain powerless against the other members of the Gojo Clan at the moment, as they have yet to fully master their abilities and harness their potential. In other words, whatever the Gojo Clan wants to enforce or command, Yuka and Tsurugi currently have little say.

The first chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo show that the Gojo Clan imposed Rika’s ring on Tsurugi Okkotsu, disregarding both his objections and Yuta’s intention to give it to Yuka. Tsurugi and Yuka’s complaints fell on deaf ears, prioritizing their own judgment over everything. They remained cold and unmoved, forcing the Okkotsu siblings to accept their decision and one day proved them wrong.

The Kamo Clan’s Fate Is Still a Mystery in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo

Nothing Matters but the Gojo Clan in JJK Sequel

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has yet to reveal anything new about the Kamo Clan, which was destroyed in the original series. At this point, no one knows if there are still active clan members, as the JJK sequel has yet to give them a proper update or closure, leaving the sorcerer clan’s fate shrouded in mystery. What fans know so far is that Kenjaku was the last head of the Kamo clan.

On the flip side, unlike the Kamo Clan, the Inumaki Clan seemingly gained a new sorcerer with an intriguing way of using the cursed speech. Upon seeing Usami use cursed speech against the grade 1 level sorcerer Masaki Takeda, fans are speculating that Usami is the Inumaki Clan’s latest member.
