There is no shortage of female characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, and each one has their own strengths, but not all of them have been given an equal amount of time in the spotlight. Gege Akutami knew who would benefit from more attention, which is why the JJK author decided to focus on them.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Do Japanese Fans Hate Maki?
Japanese JJK fans did not enjoy Maki beating Naoya Zenin in Season 3.
One of the females who is heavily involved in the story is Maki, the outcast of the Zenin clan. Due to being born with an extremely low amount of cursed energy, Maki couldn't use any special techniques, nor could she see cursed spirits. Despite her limitations, Maki didn't stop training. Instead, she worked doubly hard to enhance her physical attributes. However, in the Shibuya arc, it became quite evident that her strength wasn't nearly enough to fight the strongest villains in Jujutsu Kaisen. Thankfully, Gege Akutami gave a much-needed upgrade in the Perfect Preparation arc.

Maki Has A Heavenly Restriction
Before participating in the Culling Game, Maki decided to head to the Zenin Clan's treasury to look for weapons that would aid her in the competition. Her arrival was met with the usual jeers, which she ignored, and she headed directly inside the treasury, where Ogi was waiting. As the father and daughter ventured deeper into the vault, it became clear that Ogi had no intention of handing any weapons to Maki. Instead, he wanted to kill her, as he blamed his daughters for personal failures.

Ogi attacked and wounded Maki, which is exactly what he had done to Mai. Satisfied with the result, Ogi began walking towards the exit. However, he had no idea that Maki would return to slaughter him. After Mai had sacrificed herself, Maki was absolved of any cursed energy, allowing her to meet the requirement of Heavenly Restriction: Physically Gifted fully. This increased her physical abilities significantly and allowed her to easily beat Ogi.
Maki's next course of action was slaughtering any remaining members of Zenin who dared to stand in her way. This included Hei's assassins as well as Naoya Zenin. Everyone who witnessed her strength immediately realized that Maki had grown as strong as Toji Fushiguro. But the question is, is the current version of Maki Zenin stronger than Toji Fushiguro?

Toji Just Edges Maki In Terms Of Strength
As things stand, it's safe to say that Toji is slightly stronger than Maki. The latter has just gained the new power, so she hasn't had the opportunity to show off what she is capable of. Moreover, it wouldn't be fair to Toji if Maki's strength were gauged based on what she did to the Zenin Clan members. Toji Fushiguro's resume is far more impressive than Maki's, but that doesn't mean she won't be able to catch up to him. All Maki needs is more time to display her strength and hone her skills, after which she will certainly surpass Toji Fushiguro. Fortunately, Maki will get the opportunity to do so in the Culling Game, which is jam-packed with powerful fighters.

As fans already know, once the Perfect Preparation arc is over, the anime will shift to the Culling Game arc. Tengen has already explained how Kenjaku plans to use the competition to forcibly evolve humankind. After learning about the villain's intentions, Yuji and his friends realized that they had little time left and must work fast to stop Kenjaku and put an end to his plans. Obviously, Yuji won't be able to accomplish all the tasks on his own, which is why he must rely on his allies, one of whom is Maki.
She has already obtained new weapons and left the Zenin Clan, so it's clear that she is heading towards one of the colonies to participate in the Culling Game. Maki knows the rules, so she will try to get 100 points as quickly as possible to create a rule that will help Tsukimi escape a gruesome fate. She will also try to support Yuji in his goal to free Gojo Satoru from the Prison Realm. The sorcerer was sealed away by Kenjaku during the Shibuya Incident, as he knew Gojo would prove to be a major threat to his plans. In any case, Maki will be in the spotlight during the Culling Game, and she will demonstrate her newfound strength.
