Jujutsu Kaisen's latest episode was focused on Maki, the outcast of the Zenin clan. Previously, JJK fans had learned that Maki was headed to the Zenin Clan's treasury to find cursed weapons and tools that would aid her in the Culling Game.

Maki Zenin and Toji Fushiguro, the black sheep of the Zenin clan, sure know how to make a mess, but which of them is stronger?
Since Maki is a pariah, going back to the clan was always going to be odd for her. However, she didn't pay much heed to the situation because she had bigger things to worry about.
Maki Zenin Was Nearly Killed By Her Father
Upon entering the treasury, Maki met Ogi, who led her further inside the vault. She followed him, but soon it became clear that something was off. Ogi had removed the tools because he wanted to kill both his daughters. He had already wounded Mai and left her for dead. Ogi believed that his daughters were responsible for him being snubbed for the position of clan head. After talking to Maki for a while, Ogi attacked Maki and injured her as well.
Afterward, Ogi began walking away, leaving both of his daughters to their fate. Things were looking grim for Maki and Mai, and everything pointed to a terrible end for them. However, Mai decided to sacrifice herself to rid Maki of whatever little cursed energy she had.

Mai's decision to erase the remaining cursed energy from Maki's body was not a hasty one. In fact, she had a very good reason to take the step. Mai knew that being twins in the world of jujutsu was far from ideal, as they held back each other. Since Maki was born with the Heavenly Restriction: Physically Gifted, Mai knew that removing the remainder of the cursed energy would take her sister's physical strength to a whole new level. Mai's thinking was spot on, and Maki did grow stronger.
With zero cursed energy, the Heavenly Restriction made Maki's physical abilities even stronger, and she soon began showing it off. Maki immediately went after Ogi and slaughtered him in a couple of hits. Next, she was faced by several assassins, and they met their end by her hands. Many movie aficionados even compared the action sequence to that from Kill Bill.

Maki then faced several elite fighters of the Zenin clan, and they, too, were killed by the outcast. After dealing with them, Naoya confronted Maki. The former was extremely confident of winning, so, as usual, he began mocking Maki. For a while, Naoya even overwhelmed Maki with his cursed technique, but ultimately, she found an opening and dealt a devastating blow to his face. With the misogynist brutally beaten, Maki was free to leave the premises with Mai. She handed her body to Momo and then went after the remaining Zenin clan members who were involved in the plot to kill her.
Maki Is As Strong As Toji Fushiguro
Maki's display of strength reminded many Zenin clan members of the legendary Toji Fushiguro, who was another outcast devoid of cursed energy. As fans may remember, Toji Fushiguro's strength was scarcely affected by the absence of cursed energy, as he nearly killed Gojo Satoru. So, Maki being on the same level as Toji is a major boost for the heroes who will be participating in the Culling Game.

She Will Help To Free Gojo Satoru
As fans already know, Maki's next destination is likely one of the colonies where the Culling Game is being held. She is going to regroup with Yuji and the rest of the allies. With the new weapons secured, the group's focus will be on freeing Gojo Satoru and saving Tsukimi. In order to save Gojo Satoru, they need to find Angel, who is said to have the power to erase any cursed technique. With her power, Angel can free Gojo Satoru from the Prison Realm. Once he is free, the heroes will have a better chance of stopping Kenjaku and the Culling Game.
If Gojo is not saved immediately, then Yuji and the others will have to gather 100 points and come up with a rule that would protect Tsukimi and stop the Culling Game. However, it won't be easy to accumulate so many points, as there are other sorcerers and cursed spirits who will use their powers and stop the heroes from progressing.
