Still, fans thoroughly enjoyed monstrous displays of power in Jujutsu Kaisen’s last arc. The Jujutsu Kaisen fandom especially revolved around one character - Gojo Satoru. His popularity precedes him, especially since he was known to be pretty much unbeatable. However, one character in Jujutsu Kaisen has the potential to surpass him eventually.
Gojo Is The World’s Strongest Sorcerer
His Power Was Rivaled By Sukuna
Gojo Satoru quickly became one of the most beloved and popular characters in all of anime. Much of it was down to his strength, but even that aside, his role in Jujutsu Kaisen was quite important.
Gojo’s personality is appealing to many, but what made him truly stand out from the rest is his sheer strength and confidence. Satoru was from the Gojo clan, and thanks to that, he had inherited incredible powers, the Six Eyes and Limitless. These powers only existed together over 400 years ago. With these two abilities, Gojo was truly the most powerful character out there.
The only character who ever stood a chance against him was Sukuna, the King of Curses. However, even Sukuna, under normal circumstances, couldn’t have killed Gojo. Sukuna had to make use of Mahoraga and wait for Gojo to let his guard down to finally kill him.
With Sukuna dead at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen no one comes close to the level of strength that Gojo displayed. However, if there's one character who could have the potential to surpass him, given enough time, it is Yuji Itadori, the protagonist of the series.

Yuji Could Fulfill His Potential
Reaching Gojo Satoru’s level, let alone surpassing him, is a very, very high bar to reach. However, Yuji might have it in him to achieve that.
Yuji has grown a lot over the course of the Jujutsu Kaisen story. He was the main reason the sorcerers were able to finally take down Sukuna. Without him, Sukuna would have never gone down. Uraume themself even stated at one point that Yuji has the same potential as Sukuna, which is not a small statement.
Does that mean this brat has the same potential as Master Sukuna? – Uraume
Yuji also has access to many powerful cursed techniques. He can use Shrine, Sukuna’s very own cursed technique, but also Blood Manipulation and Reverse Cursed Technique.
Yuji’s mastery of Black Flash is also like no one else out there. Even Gojo and Sukuna can’t land as many as Yuji has.
July 6 Is Going To Be A Big Day For Jujutsu Kaisen Fans
JJK is going to have a huge event soon, and it could reveal major news about season 3.
By the end of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji is not on Gojo’s level, of course, but given time and more battles, no one would be surprised if he finally got there, and even surpassed Gojo. Yuji could be the best claimant to the title of strongest sorcerer in the world if Gege ever releases a sequel.
