Jujutsu Kaisen is edging closer to its end now, and fans most certainly have come to enjoy its spectacular run in Jump. The story has delivered some of the most exciting battles of any Jump series as of late, which just goes to show the effort that the author has put into it. That said, JJK has left behind some very big holes, some of which could have made for very exciting plot points. One of the biggest shortcomings of JJK is the worldbuilding. There is a lot of exciting stuff in the JJK world that fans do not know much about, that they wish they knew.
Jujutsu Kaisen: How Gege Failed With Yuji's Domain Expansion
Yuji was able to unlock his Domain Expansion against Sukuna. However, the domain fell short in JJK.
For instance, the three big families are one such group that exist there, but, fans do not know much about. Among them, the Gojo Family, in particular, is something that fans have always wanted to know more about, and while the manga is not going to do the job there, the author has revealed small bits of information, specifically pertaining to Gojo's parents.
The Strength And Importance of Gojo Satoru In Jujutsu Kaisen

When it comes to the Gojo Family in Jujutsu Kaisen, fans know that the strongest modern sorcerer, Gojo Satoru, is the most important character. Gojo was introduced at the beginning of the story as the strongest, and according to him, even the King of Curses, and the strongest in history, Ryomen Sukuna, could not take him down in battle. Gojo has always been confident in his abilities, and that just goes to show how powerful he truly is. Some have even gone on to say that the Gojo clan is a one-man army, but, when the army consists of someone like Gojo, nobody really needs any more strength. His importance to Jujutsu Kaisen is Paramount. This is because Gojo is essentially the catalyst to Yuji becoming Sukuna's vessel, and everything that happens from there on is technically because of him.

Similarly, Gojo is the one who keeps Sukuna in check for a significant portion of the series, and most of the plot points develop through him, as he is the one teaching the next generation too. Gojo is also the face of Jujutsu Kaisen in terms of fan popularity. He has always been the star of the franchise, and he will continue to be that forever. No matter which way fans look at it, Gojo's importance to the series is absolutely immense.
Even within the world of JJK, he is an incredibly important sorcerer, perhaps the most important, given that he is the biggest asset of Jujutsu society as a whole. Without him, society would crumble and curse users and cursed spirits would run amok.
The Gojo Family – What We Know So Far
The Gojo Family Is An Exalted Unit In Japan
What fans know about the Gojo Family so far is that Gojo Satoru belongs to it. Other than that, Gojo's family have not had anything interesting being revealed about them. Of course, fans do know that the Gojo Family is one of the Three Big Families in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, but that doesn't amount to much when they don't even get to see the family in the story. It goes without saying that the Gojo Family is one of the biggest shortcomings of Jujutsu Kaisen. Not just this Family, but the other parts of the big families in JJK as well.
The author could have added so much to his world by expanding on these families, how they function, and, above all, how they influence the world that they live in. Unfortunately, fans got to see none of that in the story, with most of the family members not even being revealed to them. When it comes to the Gojo Family, the only character that fans know is Gojo. In fact, even the names of other members of the Gojo Family have not been made public, which shows a lack of attempt from the author to add depth to a particular group of people.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Will There Be A Sequel?
JJK still has left many questions unanswered. Is there any hope that Gege will write a sequel?
Regardless, in terms of strength, the Gojo Family is absolutely monstrous, and that is simply down to one person, Gojo. This family is incredibly overpowered, and it is because of him that the name of this family is held in such light. Without Gojo, the family would be absolutely nothing, and at the same time, Gojo's parents would probably be in much more trouble.

Gojo Satoru Doesn't See His Parents
Recently, the author of JJK, Gege Akutami, spoke about the Gojo Family, and this is what he had to say:
Q: Are his mother and father still alive? Also, are his parents prominent sorcerers?
A: They're still alive. His parents gained a higher standing in the Gojo Family, thanks to Satoru Gojo's birth, but they're not really that powerful as sorcerers. Due to Satoru Gojo's rapid pace (they couldn't become involved in his sorcerer education), they grew distant from their son.
This could have made for an incredibly interesting plotline in the story, but the author chose not to reveal it in his manga. According to him, Gojo's parents are alive, and they are likely living lavish lives, due to their son being the strongest modern sorcerer. Both of them are sorcerers, of course, and likely hold quite a lot of power, given that they are among the three big clans in the series. However, their connection to Gojo is limited, and has been, likely because they are weak and Gojo is the strongest. Gojo himself does not miss them, and the only people he considers his family are his students, which is certainly touching to a certain degree.

As for whether fans will ever get to see Gojo's parents, the answer is no. Fans will never get to see Gojo Satoru's parents in the story ever and that is simply because they offer nothing to the story in the first place. They are not even close to their very own son, which is expected, and at the same time, Gojo isn't interested in them either because that is how the author wrote this story. No matter which way fans look at it, this plotline is a bit too bizarre for a story like Jujutsu Kaisen, and it would have been much better if the author dedicated a chapter or so at some point in his story to fix these issues.
With the death of Gojo Satoru, the Gojo Clan appears to have officially weakened forever, but fans don't know if there are other descendants, or any other strong member of the family. Hopefully, one day, the author will illustrate the entire story of Gojo and how he became the man that he is today.
