This article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo series.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s manga sadly concluded last year, in late 2024. To most fans, the ending felt rushed after the Sukuna battle, and it is no surprise to know that all readers wanted more. Thankfully, Gege is back with a new manga, and this manga is Jujutsu Kaisen’s sequel, JJK Modulo.
Say Welcome To Jujutsu Kaisen's New Manga
JJK is getting a new manga soon, and fans are excited to see what Gege has in store for the series,
Fans are hyped for what Gege has in store for them, and it seems that he is planning to have this sequel revolve around a popular villain, Ryomen Sukuna, JJK’s main villain. Sukuna could be returning through reincarnation. But this time, he’ll be returning as an ally, and not a villain, as was his last wish before his death at Yuji’s hands during the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
Sukuna Wanted A Second Chance To Take A New Path
- Sukuna Wanted to Walk The Right Path
- Sukuna Could Reincarnate, just Like His Brother Did
As JJK fans know by now, Sukuna went down after a long and exhausting battle with pretty much every sorcerer the series could throw at him. In the end, he was defeated thanks to Yuji. Sukuna, however, did change through this battle, and his last wish before dying was to walk the right path if given another chance.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Reveals The True Purpose Of Gojo Satoru's Character
Gojo Satoru was a major in JJK, and Gege reveals his true purpose in the story
With the lore of JJK, this is definitely a possibility. Reincarnation is, after all, real in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Sukuna’s own brother reincarnated as Itadori Wasuke, Yuji’s grandfather. With that, Gege might choose to realize Sukuna’s own dreams in the new sequel, JJK Modulo. Sukuna might reincarnate in some way and make a comeback to the story, which would be very exciting for fans.
The Candidates For Sukuna's Reincarnation
- Sukuna Could Be One of The Aliens
- Maru Is A Good Contender To Be Sukuna
Sukuna reincarnating is a huge possibility in JJK Modulo, but it raises a huge question, who could Sukuna have reincarnated as? For now, it’s hard to say, but there’s a huge chance it’s one of the aliens. Some of these aliens in JJK Modulo have some striking resemblances to Sukuna, with the facial tattoos. However, most of the aliens in the new JJK sequel are evil and have been kidnapping humans to extract their cursed energy.
“This became the spark that gave rise to “Mojuro,” which originally didn’t even have a single concrete idea, and after numerous planning meetings, it finally came to life. This will be a short-term serialization, about half a year, collected in roughly 3 volumes.” — Gege Akutami
If Sukuna did reincarnate as an alien, it would have to be the good one, Maru, for him to be able to walk the right path he wished to. This means that Sukuna, JJK’s biggest villain, will return as an ally and a hero to humanity. Of course, Gege will have to do a great job to tie everything together for it to make perfect sense, but right now, it can be said that a Sukuna's Return is highly likely through reincarnation, given the similarities between Maru and him.
The Jujutsu Kaisen manga ended in late 2024, but can be read online for free. It is available on Manga Plus, where this series used to be serialized weekly. For fans who want to now check out the new JJK sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, the series can also be read on Manga Plus where it will drop weekly. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 2 will be released on September 14, 2025.
