During the original Jujutsu Kaisen story, only one character could compete with him, Sukuna, but even he needed Mahoraga and a distracted Gojo to win the fight. Nevertheless, now, with Gojo dead and a new era of sorcerers, a new powerhouse has risen, and it’s Yuji. Yuji has been confirmed to be the strongest sorcerer in JJK after Gojo, and in his prime, he might've been on Gojo’s level.

Most recently, thanks to JJK Modulo’s first chapter dropping, fans were shocked to see Yuji, alongside Gojo, being described as Japan’s strongest sorcerers. This means that since Gojo died during the battle with Sukuna, Yuji rose to the top. This definitely implies Yuji surpassed the likes of Yuta, Maki, and Megumi.

Did Yuji Surpass Gojo In Jujutsu Kaisen?

Yuji is Probably Close to Gojo, But Not Stronger

While it's been confirmed that Yuji was the strongest after Gojo's era, a huge question arose for fans, and that's whether Yuji ever surpassed Gojo in his lifetime or not. It’s hard to say if that ever happened, especially since fans have yet to see what adult Yuji is capable of. Yuji has, after all, not made a proper appearance in the JJK Modulo manga.

When it comes to comparing him to Gojo, it’s more likely that Yuji is around Gojo’s level, but not stronger. Yuji could be exactly as strong as Sukuna, which is still very impressive and puts him on par with Gojo too, which is extremely impressive.

In this sense, it could be said that Satoru Gojo is still the most legendary sorcerer ever. This could, however, change if Yuji makes a comeback in JJK Modulo and shows his real power against the aliens kidnapping people. These are exciting times for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, and it will surely be incredibly exciting to see what the author has in store for the readers.
