Jujutsu Kaisen’s original manga ended in 2024, but it made a grand return with a sequel series known as Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, just a few months ago. JJK Modulo is set in the same world of the same author, Gege Akutami, but with a different artist. While JJK Modulo is still relatively new as a manga series and still has only 7 chapters in the bag, it has already given the fans some absolutely massive reveals.

Gojo's limitless is powerful, but Gege introduced an even stronger technique in JJK Modulo.
Most interestingly, the latest Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, that is, JJK Modulo Chapter 7, has confirmed the return of JJK’s most iconic villain, Mahito. Mahito was absorbed after the events of Shibuya and considered dead, but at the moment, it seems that he's still stuck in limbo, with an impending return. Mahito could be the first of many enemies to make a return in JJK Modulo, and others include the likes of Ryomen Sukuna.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is already picking up the pace as the sequel to JJK. Being set 68 years after the final battle against Sukuna, JJK Modulo focuses on completely new characters, those being the grandkids of Maki and Yuta, namely Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu.

While not many characters of the old era have shown up yet, fans know that Gege is finally bringing some iconic characters back. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 7 recently dropped, showcasing a massive revelation. Against all odds, Mahito is back in the story.
Say Hello To The New Gojo Satoru Of Manga
Gojo is iconic, and his perfect replacement is in the new hit manga Ichi The Witch.
Tsurugi, while knocked out after the battle, clearly dreamt of Mahito. Mahito seems to still be somewhere between life and death, but his reincarnation and return to the story remain a possibility. In the same dream, Mahito mentions someone “not being him.” In other words, Mahito seems to be looking for someone, and that someone is probably none other than Yuji, a character fans have already seen in a quick flashback in Modulo.
Mahito’s words don’t only seem to mark his official return but also the return of Yuji Itadori. At the same time, it also confirms that Yuji Itadori is still alive. A big rematch could be in store for these two characters.

With Gege shocking fans by bringing back Mahito, fans are wondering if he could be the first of many to make a comeback, especially among the villains.

While nobody really knows anything for sure at the moment, it is possible that Gege will bring back Sukuna, one way or another. Sukuna’s dying wish was to take a different path in life if given another chance, and Modulo would be the perfect place for this to happen. Sukuna could also be reincarnated, or something to do with his final finger could be revealed. Either way, fans will just have to keep reading Modulo and see what Gege has in store.
