Jujutsu Kaisen has always focused on the nature of the strongest and what their existence means for the rest of the world. 1000 years ago, everyone lived subservient to Sukuna since he was the strongest and, in the modern age, Gojo was the one to covet this title. However, the landscape of the world changed after Gojo's intense battle with the King of Curses, one which ended up with the Honored One dying after a very close fight.
Since his death, fans of the series have been wondering about who will take his place in the narrative as the strongest. Many initially thought it to be Kashimo and others have propped up incredible sorcerers such as Yuji or Hakari to take this title. However, Yuta Okkotsu is the best option in all of Jujutsu Kaisen to be the next Gojo, both literally and figuratively. So, let's take a look at why this is.

After witnessing the death of his closest childhood friend, Yuta Okkotsu began to be haunted by her Vengeful Spirit, something that would lead to him becoming very isolated from everyone else in his life. Such negative emotions led to Yuta gaining an almost infinite amount of Cursed Energy, which was so abundant that he was automatically considered a Special Grade Sorcerer.
In the events of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Yuta gets introduced to his new life as a sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he ends up fighting and defeating a fellow Special Grade Sorcerer, Suguru Geto. After these events, Yuta would be abroad during the events of the first 2 seasons of the series and would undergo some rigorous training, eventually making his way back to Tokyo to help out in ways that others couldn't.

Does Yuta Match Gojo's Strength?
Gojo was regarded as the single strongest sorcerer of the modern age, so much so that he was largely considered to be in a league of his own, even when put alongside his fellow Special Grades. Despite this, Yuta's Cursed Energy reserves were higher than those of Gojo. This shows that Yuta's strength is formidable and his fight against Sukuna really proves this too, as Yuta uses his incredible manipulation of Cursed Energy alongside his overpowered Cursed Technique to do immense damage to the King of Curses.
Yuta is a highly dangerous sorcerer for anyone to deal with, and his repertoire is a perfect example of why he's so powerful:
Yuta's Cursed Technique
Yuta's Inherent Cursed Technique is called 'Copy' and lets him use and store the Cursed Techniques of other sorcerers. These techniques can be defensive or offensive, though it doesn't really matter as Yuta's almost infinite pool of Cursed Energy lets him use these techniques without any real problem. He can copy the techniques of any person and use them quite quickly, as he used Uro's Sky Manipulation right after meeting her.
Yuta's Domain Expansion
The ability to use Domain Expansions is very rare as this skill is considered to be the apex of Jujutsu sorcery. However, Yuta is skilled and powerful enough to use his Domain Expansion; 'All-Encompassing Equivocal Love', which forms a dilapidated battleground littered with seemingly thousands of swords. However, these aren't merely swords, as each one of them represents a Cursed Technique that Yuta has copied at one point in his life, and upon picking one up, Yuta can then use that technique.
Although he doesn't know which technique he will end up with as he picks up the sword, he can still use these techniques to their fullest capabilities. After their usage, they disappear from his hand, though they seemingly respawn in the Domain and Yuta can use them again. Since he retains his ability to summon Rika while in the Domain, this makes it one of the strongest Domains in the series.
Rika's Manifestation
Alongside all these other powers, perhaps Yuta's greatest strength is his ability to summon Rika, who is a Special Grade Vengeful Spirit. Rika is highly powerful and dangerous for anyone to go up against, as she also has bottomless Cursed Energy reserves and can store all the techniques and Cursed Tools for Yuta to use in battle.

One thing that both Special Grade sorcerers have in common that has been established is their unparalleled strength. However, their similarities also extend to their philosophies on life, as both of them believe it to be the responsibility of the strong to protect the weak, as they both have been shaped to believe the same thing through different life experiences.
Moreover, Yuta is quite possibly primed to be the next Gojo, both literally and figuratively, in the sense that Yuji looks at him as a bit of a mentor figure due to him being in a higher class as well as being a Special Grade. With Yuta's copy ability being insanely overpowered, many think that Yuta may eventually copy and use Gojo's techniques.
Yuta and Gojo have been established to be distant relatives due to their common ancestor, Michizane Sugawara. Due to this, fans have theorized that Yuta may be able to inherit the unique techniques of the Gojo clan, or that he may already have them stored within Rika to be used later. All of this adds up perfectly to have Yuta be the next person to use the Limitless and Six Eyes together, so now fans just have to wait and see what Gege is cooking up.
