Jump Festa 2025: Schedule, Where to Watch and Main Predictions

Jump Festa 2025 is coming up soon and there's reason to expect some major announcements.

Besides news about the anime sequel, more information on the previously announced compilation film for the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, which takes place during the second season, and focuses on Gojo's past. The movie is scheduled to premiere on May 30, 2025, in Japan.

What to Expect for the Compilation Movie

Not much further information has been shared on the movie yet, but this has been one of the hottest arcs in the anime series so far. In a compilation movie, they can rework some scenes and make them even better. Also, it is likely this will get an international release, be it in theaters or directly on streaming services. A key visual was released:

Compilation movies are usually (but not always) made by the same team who handled the series, so we can expect it to be at least at the same level as what we saw in the anime. From an industry perspective, if this movie is commercially successful in Japan, other series will follow the same path, as has happened since Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba broke records with Mugen Train.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Main Staff

While the movie staff has not been revealed, as already stated, the main staff for season 2 is likely to return. Shota Goshozono replaced Sunghoo Park as director. This was Goshozono's directional debut for a full series, but he had previously directed Chainsaw Man episode 8 (the one that starts with Himeno drunk and Denji sleeping in her bed).

Hiroshi Seko was the head writer for both seasons, and his portfolio includes other major hits like Vinland Saga, Zom 100 and his most recent work, Dandadan. Studio MAPPA has been in charge of the animation.

As the panel was hosted by the cast, we can expect them to return, including:

  • Yuichi Nakamura as Gojo
  • Takahiro Sakurai as Suguru Geto.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed.
