When Maru's third eye opens, his power or his cursed energy seems to surge to unprecedented levels, which immediately overwhelms his opponents and leaves even experienced sorcerers struggling to keep up.
In Maru’s fight with Takeda, his third eye triggered a state of mental confusion, causing the latter to become disoriented and unable to anticipate the alien’s next moves. Maru’s cursed technique, which is still unidentified, can distort natural laws of order itself, allowing him to control and dominate the fight. His technique gave him a clear advantage over Takeda, who also describes Maru’s ability as unlike anything he has ever seen.
