Jujutsu Kaisen's popularity has skyrocketed ever since the first season of the anime was released, and it will continue to increase as more and more seasons come out. Jujutsu Kaisen fans instantly fell in love with the story and the characters. Additionally, the animation quality was superb, and it elevated the series as a whole.

Among the characters, the one name that stood out was that of Gojo Satoru, the strongest sorcerer in the world. From the get-go, Satoru seemed like an interesting and fun character. It didn't take long for him to reveal his true power to the audience, leaving them flabbergasted. The more he has been involved in the anime, the more his fame has grown. It has reached the point where Gojo Satoru is more loved than the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. As a result, his fanbase has increased, and, naturally, they want to know more about the white-haired sorcerer. Gege Akutami decided to solve this problem once and for all by answering over 30 questions about Gojo Satoru, with one of them being related to his salary as a sorcerer.

Being the strongest sorcerer doesn't exempt Satoru from working.

Gojo Satoru's Monthly Salary As A Sorcerer

Gojo Satoru Earns Almost The Same As A Cabinet Minister

Gege Akutami was asked about Gojo Satoru's rate per mission and how much his personal assets are worth. The author of Jujutsu Kaisen responded that sorcerers are not paid per mission, but they receive a monthly salary. This is quite different from how ninjas in Naruto are paid. In Naruto, ninjas get paid according to the rank of the mission. So, an A-rank mission will fetch less money than an S-rank mission. But this also means a ninja would have to work extra hard as S-rank missions are fiendishly difficult.

I alone am the honored one. —Gojo Satoru

Gojo Satoru is a Special Grade sorcerer, so he has a salary that is equal to that of a cabinet minister. Furthermore, Satoru is the head of the Gojo clan, which means that he has plenty of other assets. After combining the two, it is quite clear that Satoru is wealthy. For those who like numbers, a Japanese cabinet minister's yearly salary is 29.61 million yen, which is roughly around $197,000. So, his monthly salary would be around $16,416. This may seem like a lot, but it's nothing compared to the effort that he puts in.

Gojo Satoru's Hectic Schedule

Gojo Satoru Barely Has Any Time For Himself

In the same interview, Gege Akutami revealed Satoru's frenzied schedule. He starts his day at 07:00 and reaches Jujutsu High around 07:30. Satoru starts the rigors of the day at 08:30, such as checking on his students, training them, and escorting them on missions. If he is not helping his students, Satoru is working on a high-level mission by himself. Or he could be sent to a different place to conduct meetings. All this drags on till 20:00, so he is busy for the majority of the day.

The next step is meeting the principal and the top brass to discuss important matters. Fans already know that Satoru doesn't agree with most of their opinions, so the meetings end on a sour note. From 22:00 to 04:00, Satoru gets busy with preparations for the next day. Finally, he takes a three-hour nap from 04:00 to 07:00. So, he only gets rest for three hours, yet he manages to perform at the highest level possible. A regular person would struggle to perform the most basic tasks if they were operating on such a low sleep.

Keeping in mind that Gojo Satoru is continuously risking his life and fighting some of the most dangerous curses, a salary of $16,416 doesn't seem that much. Satoru is underpaid if anything, but he does not make a fuss about it like Mei Mei, who won't even lift a finger unless she gets paid.

Will Gojo Satoru Return In Season 3?

The Return Of Satoru Would Boost The Morale

Satoru Gojo Sealed Prison Realm Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Arc

Jujutsu Kaisen's second season adapted the Shibuya Incident arc, in which Satoru was sealed by Hero's group. This, of course, was a massive blow to the sorcerers, as Satoru was their biggest weapon. Without him, the curses have the advantage. Towards the end of the season, fans saw Yuta make a return, which implies that big things are about to go down in the third season of the anime.

As for Gojo Satoru, it is likely that Yuji and the others will try to free him. Gojo Satoru is not just the most powerful sorcerer, but he is Yuji's beloved teacher, and he will not sit idly. So, fans will get to see Yuji and his allies make an effort to rescue Satoru from the clutches of pseudo-Geto. Additionally, it is possible that Yuta will join hands with Yuji once the latter clears the air. If Satoru does not appear in the third season, fans will hope that the story and action will be enough to keep them distracted. MAPPA has already announced a third season, but so far there is no release date. Hopefully, there will be a major announcement by the end of the year.
