Now, fans are pulled back into the Jujutsu World, as the creator expands the lore and gives it a sci-fi twist, which left many fans in shock.
Refugee aliens called Simurians are eyeing Japan as their next sanctuary, but Yuji Itadori isn’t the one investigating their motives, leaving the responsibility on the next generation of Jujutsu Sorcerers, who have significantly grown weaker. In other words, Yuji Itadori is not the main character of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, suggesting that the sequel may be less of a continuation and more of a generational reboot.
That’s not all, as Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is set decades after the conclusion of Yuji Itadori’s story, pushing fans to believe that he may have already died off-screen. It won’t be a surprise if he returns in the succeeding chapters of JJK Modulo, whether as a low-key adult sorcerer who survived decades in secret or a mentor figure like Gojo Satoru for Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu. Who knows, he might even be humanity’s first or last line of defense against the Simurian King once he decides peaceful coexistence is no longer possible later on.
