This article contains spoilers from the JJK series.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo continues to get more exciting with each passing chapter, especially as Gege Akutami, the creator of the series, introduces old characters once again. In a very bold step, Gege has reintroduced Yuji in the story, and it has most certainly elevated the intrigue in the plot to the next level. While most fans were certain of the fact that Yuji would still be alive after 68 years in JJK, it has now been officially confirmed that not only is he still alive, but he is still in his prime.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Yuji Itadori Left The Sorcerers, Explained
Yuji Itadori has disappeared and left the sorcerers behind. Here's why in JJK Modulo.
Much to the shock of all the readers, Yuji Itadori is actually immortal, in the sense that he doesn't age anymore. This was confirmed by the author across multiple chapters, but most recently in JJK Modulo chapter 13, Nobara stated that his body has stopped aging. This is one of the biggest plot points in the JJK Modulo series, and fans absolutely can't wait to see how Yuji will eventually meet his end.
Yuji Itadori Is Immortal In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
Yuji Itadori was never just a normal human. He was birthed by none other than Kenjaku, and was essentially created as the perfect vessel for the reincarnation of the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. As such, Yuji's body couldn't just be a simple body.
Yuji was also part curse and this is in part because he consumed many of his Death Painting siblings shortly before the events of the deadly Shinjuku Showdown. Yuji's body has been altered completely, and as such, he does not age anymore. At some point in the story, Yuji stopped aging completely and he has since remained in his prime state.
The last time I saw him was at Hana's funeral. He said he wouldn't be going to any more funerals. He may look like a muscle head but he's too sensitive, you know. He just can't bear to see anyone else off. It was getting a bit too rough on me too. After all, he can't age, you know? — Nobara Kugisaki on Yuji Itadori, JJK Modulo Chapter 13
While on the surface this looks great, as it gives him eternal life and allows him to remain the strongest for many years to come, fans also know very well that Yuji Itadori is extremely depressed right now because of the fact that he doesn't age.
Yuji Is The Strongest, But He Is Losing All His Friends
Yuji's immortality means that he has remained the strongest for a long time, but as was made clear by both Gojo and Sukuna, being the strongest means dealing with inexplicable solitude. Nobody can understand loneliness the way the strongest does, and that is exactly what Yuji is dealing with right now.
If anything, the loneliness that Yuji is dealing with is far worse than anything that Gojo and Sukuna had to deal with, because he continues to lose all his friends one by one.
You can make a flower bloom, and you can admire it. But you can't tell that flower, 'I want you to understand me.' — Gojo Satoru to Geto Suguru in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 236
After 7 Years, Gege Akutami Confirms The Sorcerer Who Stole Gojo's Throne
Gojo's era is over, and this sorcerer has stolen his throne as the strongest sorcerer of Japan in JJK.
When Yuta and Maki died, it was a great shock for everyone, and this also included Yuji. Fans know very well that Yuji and Yuta were very close to each other so this loss most certainly did a number on him. But, most importantly, it was the presumed loss of Megumi Fushiguro that depressed Yuji.
The last funeral that he attended was that of Hana, and he clearly mentioned to Nobara that he would not be around anymore because he couldn't stand all his friends dying one by one while he continues to stay in his prime.
Yuji Will Be Killed By Dabura In Battle
Yuji not aging anymore is one of the biggest plot points in JJK Modulo right now. However, the author is setting up his eventual death quite clearly. For one, Yuji will have to return to the story after such an elaborate setup of not being able to find him for so long.
Secondly, Mahito was recently introduced in the story again, and he is eagerly waiting for Yuji on the other side, where the two will eventually either fight, or move on to the next life together.
Most importantly, a death battle is being set up between Dabura and Yuji, and it is highly likely that this is the battle where Yuji will eventually lose his life. Yuji might not age, but he can still be killed. If Dabura proves to be stronger than Yuji, then not only will he win Tokyo for his people, but at the same time, he will also grant Yuji the wish of death and allow him to go to the other side to reunite with his friends, just as Gojo did following the battle with Sukuna.
