In the chaotic world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sorcerers reign supreme, and it is no surprise to know that Jujutsu Kaisen has its own sorcerer ranks. The ranking starts at the bottom, with Grade 4, which makes up the weakest of the bunch. Then, the general Grades are 3, 2, and 1, with semi Grades existing in between. The strongest of the lot, however, have their own class, called Special Grade. Only a select few have made it this high in the world of JJK. In fact, the only confirmed Special Grades so far in JJK are Gojo, Yuki, Geto, and Yuta, but there are new gen characters that have the potential to rise to this rank.
Hiromi Higuruma
A Sorcerer with Gojo Level Potential
Higuruma was a major help during the Sukuna fight in Shinjuku Showdown, and his genius was quite apparent as the author even compared him to Gojo Satoru. Indeed, it was said that Higuruma’s talent rivaled even that of Gojo, and that is definitely no small comparison. Gojo was even beyond the levels of a normal Special Grade sorcerer, and if Higuruma truly had this amount of potential, then even he must have become a Special Grade Sorcerer sometime after the Sukuna battle.
Fumuhiko Takaba
The User of Comedian
Takaba has one of the most broken cursed techniques ever seen in the JJK series, and some would say it could even rival or even beat Gojo’s Limitless. His cursed technique, Comedian, is overpowered and can turn anything he finds funny into reality. During the original JJK series, Takaba didn’t have mastery over it. If Takaba learns to fully use it, he would definitely be a Special Grade Sorcerer.
Yuka Okkotsu
Yuta’s Successor
Yuka Okkotsu is the granddaughter of JJK legends, Yuta and Maki. Yuka, while still at her beginning as a JJK sorcerer, carries a lot of potential. She is the successor of Yuta, and will, at the very least, reach his level by the end of Modulo.
Eventually, she will get Rika’s ring and master her cursed technique to its full extent. Yuka will definitely become a Special Grade Sorcerer, just like her grandfather was, and she may even go on to surpass him.
Tsurugi Okkotsu
Maki’s Successor
Tsurugi is another new main character of the sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Tsurugi is the grandson of Yuta and Maki, and his potential is huge. Tsurugi is just like Maki, as he was born with little cursed energy.
This gives him superior physical prowess compared to the average person. He is also a user of the New Shadow Style on top of that. Tsurugi won’t unlock his full potential until he can get rid of all his cursed energy, and only then can he match the likes of Maki and Toji.
Yuji Itadori
The Former Vessel of Sukuna
Yuji is JJK’s original protagonist. Throughout most of the series, Yuji didn’t really stand out much, power-wise. However, during the Sukuna battle, he reached new heights after unlocking two cursed techniques, Blood Manipulation and Shrine. Yuji also unlocked his Domain Expansion, and was able to make use of Sukuna’s own attacks. Yuji might have grown even more after that battle, and fans will get to see just how strong he is when he makes his expected comeback in JJK Modulo.
Maki Zenin
A Sorcerer With No Cursed Energy
Maki was one of the most impressive characters of the original JJK series. Compared to the average sorcerer, Maki had superior strength due to her little cursed energy, something that happened due to her Heavenly Restriction.

The Shinjuku Showdown arc in JJK was brutal and almost took out many fan-favorite characters.
Her power was taken to a new level in JJK once she lost all her cursed energy, thanks to Mai’s sacrifice. Maki became Toji’s equal, and probably even surpassed him following the Sukuna battle. She was able to impress greatly in that battle.
Megumi Fushiguro
A User Of The Ten Shadow Technique
Megumi was a part of the main trio of JJK. Megumi possessed an immense amount of potential, even being born with the prized cursed technique of the Zenin Clan, called the Ten Shadow Technique.
The Ten Shadow Technique is so overpowered that Sukuna made use of it to kill Gojo. If Megumi ever learns to control Mahoraga or to combine different Shikigami, he would be a Special Grade Sorcerer for sure.
Cross
Maru’s Brother
Cross is one of the Rumelians and Maru’s brother who has yet to showcase his true powers. While the extent of what he can do remains to be seen, at the very least, he should be somewhat relative to his brother in power. Maru was said to easily be on the level of a Grade 1, which means that at full power, he could already be Special Grade. It’s unknown what cursed technique Cross has, but it must be something on par with Maru’s. Gege definitely has big plans for him.

An Overpowered Rumelian
Maru, just like the other characters from JJK Modulo, is a recent addition to the cast of the series. Maru is one of the strongest new characters. In the battle against Takeda, Maru recently showcased his powerful cursed technique that allows him to change the order of the laws of nature.
In addition to that, Maru has taken down a Grade 1 Sorcerer, Masaki Takeda. Maru might already be strong enough to be classified as a Special Grade.
Dabura
The Strongest Deskunte
Another character who is already Special Grade or above is Dabura, the strongest Simurian. His powers remain unknown, but he's officially a threat comparable to Ryomen Sukuna. In battle, he is one of the very strongest and his true potential is yet to be seen.
Jujutsu Kaisen is currently one of the biggest shonen series in the world. The manga, which ended in late 2024, can be read online for free.
