Jujutsu Kaisen is a series known for incredible techniques and insanely strong characters who can topple entire nations on their own. Figures like Sukuna and Gojo are known and feared across the world for their strength, with Cursed Techniques that are so broken that not even the strongest sorcerers or Cursed Spirits can stand up to them.

Although this trend of powerful abilities is followed by most of the named cast of Jujutsu Kaisen, there are some notable exceptions, especially in the Culling Game arc. In this arc, many sorcerers played a role, though some of them had the most hilariously awful Cursed Techniques in the series, so let's take a look at the 5 worst of them all.

In a series filled with broken and insane techniques, these stand out as the strongest physical fighters in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Mai Zenin's Low Cursed Energy Held Back Her Amazing Technique

Cursed Technique: Construction

  • The weaker twin.

For the initial part of Jujutsu Kaisen, many believed that Mai had the benefit over her sister, since she had a Cursed Technique at least. However, her technique, Construction, was painfully limited due to her unique situation of being a twin, which is a huge limitation in the Jujutsu world since Cursed Energy is split between both siblings.

Due to this, she was only able to construct a bullet a day, making her incredibly weak. However, this was just her application of it, since Yorozu had the same power but could even challenge Sukuna due to her immense Cursed Energy, showing that this was more of a problem with the sorcerer than the technique itself.

Hazenoki Was A Talented Sorcerer With A Bad Cursed Technique

Cursed Technique: Explosive Flesh

  • Everything considered, Hazenoki was quite talented.

Reverse Cursed Technique is an ability that is pretty much a requirement at the highest levels of Jujutsu, which means that anyone who can use it is undoubtedly very talented. So, because of this, Hazenoki can be considered one of the few characters in the series who can use this technique, making him quite knowledgeable about Cursed Energy.

However, his Cursed Technique, Explosive Flesh, requires him to deal damage to himself, making it very impractical. By tearing off parts of his own body, Hazenoki can throw them as explosive projectiles at his opponents to deal damage, which can be dangerous. However, had it not been for his knowledge of Reverse Cursed Technique, this technique would have been entirely useless.

Haba And Hanyu's Techniques Were Hilarious And Weak

Cursed Techniques: Helicopter Hair and Airplane Hair

  • Weaklings who only targeted rookies.

Haba and Hanyu were minor antagonists in the Culling Game arc, and they proved how pathetic they truly were by solely targeting rookies at the start of the game. As the names of their techniques suggest, their hair would take the properties of helicopters and airplanes respectively, giving them the power of flight.

Of course, the ability to fly allows the user to be incredibly agile and difficult to catch, but they proved to be minor inconveniences in the arc. Though their speed is formidable, they are unable to reinforce their bodies enough to deal with the consequences of this, making their Cursed Techniques very weak.

Charles Bernard Could See The Future, But Very Little Of It

Cursed Technique: G Warstaff

  • Cool concept, poor execution.

A minor character in the Culling Game arc, Charles Bernard was an aspiring mangaka whose Cursed Technique, G Warstaff, was tied to his Cursed Tool with the same name. With it, Charles could see the future, which may sound overpowered at first, but the conditions behind its use show a different side.

When G Warstaff makes contact with a target's body, it allows Charles to see 1 second into his opponent's future, with further contact increasing the amount of time he can see. However, Charles was not a particularly powerful fighter to be able to do this consistently, and 1 second of future sight is far too limited to mean anything substantial.

5 Things Jujutsu Kaisen Does Better Than Every Other Shonen Anime

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular anime out there right now, and these are a few of the biggest reasons why it stands out.

Remi's Hair Had One Job, And It Couldn't Even Do That Right

Cursed Technique: Scorpion Hair

  • What's there to even say?

Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen come in all shapes and sizes, with some being defensive techniques while others are support or offensive powerhouses. Remi's technique is an offensive one, but just barely. Essentially, her hair acts like a giant scorpion tail that can move independently like a limb in order to 'sting' her opponents, with many theorizing that her Cursed Energy is imbued into it in order to act like poison.

However, this power is extremely weak, as was seen in her scuffle against Megumi where she managed to land clean hits that were so weak that Megumi simply brushed them off. Even conceptually, this technique seems subpar, but was somehow even weaker in application, only really causing Megumi some mild irritation at the points of contact, making it the weakest technique in the Culling Game arc by far.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
