This article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
In the grim world of Jujutsu Kaisen, sorcerers defend society from cursed spirits and curse users, and they're all classified into different grades, based on their power level. The weakest of the sorcerers belong to Grade 4, and for the average sorcerer, the best rank is usually Grade 1. However, there’s a grade even beyond that that only a handful of special people manage to attain, and that's Special Grade. Special Grade is reserved for the best of the best, and they have a defined level of power, as they are said to be strong enough to overthrow a nation. But some sorcerers’ and curses seem to be even beyond that, including the likes of Gojo or Sukuna.
Jujutsu Kaisen: The 8 Most Lethal Domain Expansions, Ranked
Take a closer look at the most lethal Domain Expansions in Jujutsu Kaisen, from Time Cell Moon Palace to Malevolent Shrine.
Gojo Satoru
The World’s Strongest Sorcerer
In the Jujutsu Kaisen world, Gojo holds the rank of Special Grade Sorcerer. However, fans know for sure that Gojo is beyond the level of any other sorcerer in Japan. Gojo’s powers were simply on a whole other level, and the only competition he ever had was Sukuna, the King of Curses.
Gojo’s limitless and 6 Eyes made him a unique threat that could only be witnessed every few centuries. The other special Grade Sorcerers couldn't beat him even if they teamed up.
Ryomen Sukuna
The King of Curses
Sukuna was the main antagonist of the original Jujutsu Kaisen series. He was known as the King of Curses, and the strongest sorcerer in history. Sukuna’s strength can’t be understated as he achieved the impossible, which is to kill Gojo Satoru.
Not only did Sukuna kill Gojo, but he went on to fight pretty much every sorcerer that was thrown his way after. Sukuna only fell after a long and tedious battle, and his strength was definitely far above the average Special Grade sorcerer.
Dabura
The King of Simurians
Dabura is a new addition to the Jujutsu Kaisen cast, and he was introduced in the sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Dabura is the King of the Simurians, and he's known to be pretty powerful. He has yet to showcase his true strength, but the narrative is clear, and he is a Sukuna-level threat who could possibly be even more dangerous than the King of Curses. Dabura might simply be the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen character of all time.
Yuji Itadori
A Character That Reached Sukuna’s Level
For the vast majority of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Yuji Itadori was not a notable sorcerer. He was outperformed by the likes of Gojo, but his time to shine came during the Sukuna Raid. It took Yuji some time, but through having been Sukuna’s vessel and some training, he unlocked many powerful abilities. Yuji was able to unlock Blood Manipulation and even Sukuna’s Cursed Technique, Shrine.
5 Sorcerers With Gojo-Level Potential In Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo is the strongest, but these characters have, at the very least, the potential to match him someday in JJK.
Yuji was the one to ultimately kill Sukuna, and since then, he has definitely gone on to reach the level of the King of Curses, making him even beyond the level of a Special Grade now.
Yuki Tsukumo
A Sorcerer that Possesses the Power to Destroy the World
Yuki was a sorcerer who held the Special Grade rank in JJK. In base, Yuki is not beyond the level of an average Special Grade. After all, she did ultimately die against Kenjaku.
However, what makes her really special is her ultimate ability, Black Hole. This ability is the single most destructive in JJK, and has the power to end the world. This ability, however, requires her to die first.
Yuta Okkotsu
Gojo’s True Successor
Yuta was one of the four sorcerers who held the Special Grade rank, alongside Gojo, Yuki, and Geto. While Yuta was never as strong as the likes of Gojo, he was his ultimate heir.
Yuta only grew stronger after the Sukuna battle, and went on to lead the Gojo clan. How strong he ultimately became is unknown, but he was definitely one of the strongest sorcerers of his time.
Kenjaku
A Curse that Has Lived for Centuries
Kenjaku was one of the main antagonists in Jujutsu Kaisen, and the main driver of the plot up until the very end. He has lived for centuries on end, and through that, he has claimed a lot of experience, as well as some strong abilities, like Geto’s Cursed Technique. Kenjaku is so strong that he was able to kill a Special Grade Sorcerer, Yuki. He is definitely the strongest villain there is in JJK after Sukuna.
