Jotaro's sacrifice moved Jolyne, after which she decided to rescue him at all costs. The second set of episodes continued Jolyne's story up to the point where she makes one last push to escape from the prison and hunt down the main villain. However, there were still some questions that remained unanswered until the final set of Stone Ocean episodes came out.

This list has spoilers from Part 3 of Stone Ocean.

6 DIO's Major Influence

Dio Brando

DIO is one of the most influential characters in the entire JoJo series. Despite dying in Stardust Crusaders, DIO left a lasting impact on many characters, mostly villains, and they continued to cause trouble for the Joestars. DIO played a crucial role in molding Pucci's character.

The conversations that Pucci had with DIO influenced the former to try and achieve "heaven." The priest also gained knowledge about various kinds of Stands, which benefited him in his quest. The final set of episodes showed that DIO had other sons aside from Giorno, and they came to Pucci's aid and helped him to fight Jolyne and her group.

5 Anasui Marriage Proposal

In part 2 of Stone Ocean, the chemistry between Jolyne and Anasui began to develop. So, fans were expecting part 3 to provide them with some more content covering the two characters. As luck would have it, Anasui's dream to live out his life with Jolyne was crushed by Pucci. With the power of Made in Heaven, Pucci killed every single member of Jolyne's group, except for Emporio. But all was not lost, as Anasui and Jolyne did get a special ending, which was due to Emporio.

4 Weather Report's Past

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Jolyne Cujou's allies Weather Report

Weather Report is one of the best side characters in Stone Ocean. After learning about Jolyne, he helped her defeat Lang Rangler, who was sent by Pucci. While Anasui's past was revealed in part 2, Weather Report's backstory remained a mystery.

Ultimately, this question was answered in part 3, and fans were shocked to learn that Weather Report was Pucci's brother. This big reveal made the fight between the two brothers even more impactful. Unfortunately, Lady Luck was on Pucci's side, and he emerged victorious with his life. However, Weather Report did get his revenge when Emporio used his Stand disc to defeat Pucci.

3 Pucci's New Stand

Made in Heaven and Enrico Pucci

It wouldn't have been a JoJo part if there wasn't an extremely overpowered Stand in it. However, at no point did the fans think that it would have been Pucci's. It wasn't until episode 24 that the anime teased Pucci's new power.

In the episode, Pucci touched the left hand of a woman, causing the hands on her wristwatch to move, which resulted in her fingernails going rapidly. Pucci confirmed that Whitesnake was no longer his Stand, and this particular mystery was unraveled during the final fight of the series. Pucci's Stand had evolved twice, and its final form was called Made In Heaven. The Stand is extremely powerful, and it allowed Pucci to increase the flow of time. It also affected Jotaro's ability to stop time, making it almost useless.

When Jotaro put his body on the line for his daughter's safety, he proved that he cared a lot about her. Jolyne was perplexed after seeing Jotaro's behavior, as for most of her life she was under the impression that her father did not care about her at all. Thankfully, she realized Jotaro stayed away from his family because he did not want any harm to come to them.

After Whitesnake stole Jotaro's discs, Jolyne swore that she would get them back, which she did successfully. Until they were reunited, there was absolutely no way of knowing what would happen. So, the fans desperately wanted to see how the relationship between them would develop, and in the final set of episodes, they got to see a completely different side of Jotaro. In a very crucial moment, Jotaro decided to follow his heart, leaving fans speechless.

Stone Ocean is a controversial part because of its conclusion. At some point, anime only fans must have come across posts on social networking websites about the "botched" ending in the manga. In order to judge the ending for themselves, they had to wait until the release of part 3 of Stone Ocean.

Finally, they were able to see the ending for themselves. If one were to keep an open mind, it is actually a very good ending. It brings an end to the long-standing feud between DIO and the Joestar family. Furthermore, it allowed Araki to reset things and start anew with Steel Ball Run. Without the bittersweet ending, it is very likely Araki would have continued down the same path.
