Morbius star Jared Leto has discussed wanting to face off against any of the Spider-Man actors, which many fans want to see. However, what's even better is that the actor really wants to see his character face off against Mahershala Ali's Blade.

Morbius stars the titular character in a live-action solo movie that covers the origins of the vampire himself. Morbius is typically a foil to Spider-Man and even Blade in the comic books, but fans still don't know if those rivalries will ever play out on screen.

With Morbius being produced by Sony, many are unsure of where it fits in the overall continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or if they will ever see a crossover. Still, Leto recently spoke to Josh Wilding about wanting to fight Blade in a live-action film one day, saying, "That would be a pretty fascinating experience. I’d love to get in the ring with him." Although Leto's Morbius takes place in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, the actor recently teased that the film is part of the ever-expanding multiverse that was featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Ali first debuted as Blade in an off-screen cameo at the end of Eternals, and now Morbius is making his first appearance in a film. It would be a waste of talent and opportunity to not have these two characters meet one day. Hopefully they figure a way to make it happen, but fans will have to wait until after the Doctor Strange sequel to see how this will work, as that movie will handle the multiverse.

The Sony universe did a great job at introducing villains or anti-heroes to the big screen as opposed to only doing stories focused on heroes. Morbius looks to do the same, but this character works well with other characters in opposition. A lot of his stories that many fans gravitate towards include Spider-Man. Some may be familiar with the Spider-Man animated series, where both Spider-Man and Blade faced off against Morbius.

Despite the reception, it was very cool to see Batman and Superman fight on the big screen. It was very cool to see the other Spider-Men crossover to the Disney produced universe. It was very worthwhile for many fans to see King Kong and Godzilla face off against each other. So, why shouldn't fans get to see Morbius fight Blade one day?

Morbius will be in theaters on April 1st, 2022.
