Wordle has another mystery five-letter word today for fans everywhere to log on and try out. While today's word isn't the hardest puzzle ever, some players may still be in search for a little help with the rules or hints for the answer.
How To Play Wordle
An important note: Wordle went massively viral on social media back in early 2022. Although it is not as popular anymore, fans and others are still making clones of it, like the fan who made a competitive multiplayer version of Wordle just recently. It can be hard to figure out which one is first with all these copycats around. The first version was originally made by an indie developer then purchased by the New York Times Games. It is still hosted on both the Games site and the Crossword app. Other versions will have different answers from what is listed here and can have different rules.
- First, choose a starting Wordle word. This word must be five letters long, a real word, and should have a variety of common Wordle letters in it. Players should also avoid previous answers and plural nouns ending in S.
- Type the chosen word into the site.
- Press enter.
- Its letters will change colors. Green letters are correct and in the right place, yellow letters are correct but in the wrong place, and gray letters are incorrect.
- Players need to keep trying new words and getting new clues until they guess the answer or run out of their six tries.
- Puzzles are daily, so a new word won't be available until midnight local time.
- After players have completed their puzzle for the day, make sure to check out the Wordle menu that pops up; this menu will have all sorts of Wordle stats for players to check out.
